Manuel
Word that best describe his day: cold
I met Manuel while waiting for my friend to meet for a 10-strangers challenge at a healthy food conference. I was outside enjoying the heavy snow and I saw Manuel walking by with a shovel a few times so the 3rd time, I asked him if he wanted to be part of my challenge, which he accepted.
He told me that he was working the the Convention center and had to go around the block keeping all entries clear of snow and that he had been doing that for a few hours now and was tired and cold. Since he had to keep going, I thanked him and let him go.

I introduce you to Robert.
When I spotted him crossing the street, first thing it came to my mind was "Where's Wally?" (Waldo) children books series: I know, only because of the cap, he's not wearing glasses and is objectively handsome, so I guess it's a bit of an unfair comparison. But hey, we're being sincere here :-)
To be even more sincere, this time I could barely talk to my stranger number 41, so in a sense, he keeps being quite a stranger, because he was in a hurry. I briefly explained him the project and he accepted, as long as it was something brief.
Deprived of the couple of minutes that could have gotten us a batter background, I simply shot him against the Rambla and the even going flow of people that crowds the streets of Barcelona these afternoons.
Robert lives in Barcelona, and he really seemed a nice guy, a pity he had to leave. We quickly exchanged emails and said goodbye to each other. I'm sending Robert the pics soon, I hope he sees them and sends some reply!
In the pic I chose to be the main one, Robert is framed between to large street lamps, looking straight at the camera, but I included an alternate shot, a tad sharper, where he's lookingat a side, with an interesting expression. You choose.
This picture is #41 in my 100 strangers project. Check out the rest of the stranger street portraits in my project at the 100 Strangers Set or find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at the 100 Strangers Flickr Group page.
