IT'S FRIDAY, FRIDAY, GOTTA GET DOWN ON FRIDAY

EVERYONE'S LOOKIN FORWARD TO THE WEEKEND, WEEKEND ;)

Pretty boring, I know. But the snow on the ground was so sparkly and pretty. And look, it's my new sweater! :D

Friday Food for Thought

"The first time we ever got a chance to be alone we knew,

That it was wrong to do,

I guess that's why I was drawn to you,

The 2nd time leads to the 3rd, the 5th, the 7th time,

I feel so alive, it won't last but it's alright,

Fleeting joy and fading ecstasy, here it goes again oh,

Sneaking fruit from the forbidden tree, Sweet taste of sin"

- "Again" © John Legend

Words can never be spoken true about temptation.

It is sweet...

It makes you feel alive...

All of us in life, one time or another, have been tempted and it does not have to be

sexual. But one thing about temptation when you give in to it the power of it can have you doing things you said you'd never do. Just to have the feeling of fading ecstasy.

Even though the grass appears to be greener the day after can be devastating. You can lose yourself having to cover with lies and more lies. And the temptation can lead to another all to capture that moment of excitement. Not to mention the lives it can damage and the withdrawal emotion you have to fight with to leave. I wish I could say temptation can be fought with logic or reasoning but the best solution is to walk away when it arrives.

Oh it is sweet ..... but the lost for a moment satisfaction it too high.

41% Crescent moon.

Canon 60Da, Celestron 11' @ f/6,3 focal reducer.

This is a single shot, sharpened.

It's not possible to get the entire moon in focus, you'll see the craters at the top are focused but not the bottom. To overcome this the moon needs to be imaged in sections and stitched together - I sadly only reserve that patience for deep sky objects :)

Here's the super-talented Lauren who was 'retro shopping' with the super talented Ellen yesterday. :)

Lauren is also a music performance student. She told me about her Youtube channel where she covers a few songs - but also has a load of her own up her sleeve too.

Here's the link to her channel - www.youtube.com/user/lalalalowesy

The 2 girls were so canny. Chatty, friendly and fun. Sometimes Newcastle can be a little depressing - there were loads of homeless guys on the streets yesterday, and lots of people looking pretty rough to say the least. The weather didn't help with gloomy fog shrouding the city, so these 2 girls brightened the day no end :)

Thank you for helping me out with the project Lauren! If you and Ellen want copies of the photos, please mail me on here with details of your email addresses :)

Lauren is #41 in my 100 strangers project. Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at the 100 Strangers Flickr Group page

Gray Line, Seattle 61605 A55037X was Grosvenor Coach Lines 605 2W98510 and was part of the batch of 10 built for sightseeing operations in San Francisco. Four of them ended up in Seattle with the Gray Line Sightseeing operation there and during a visit in June 2009 this was the only active one left in original condition as the others had been converted to open top format. This nearside shot shows the coach running with the door open, normal operating mode for this bus with temperamental air-con equipment!

Here is my prototype Xm-41 with brass tubes. It is one of my favorite guns and I'm very happy to have it in my collection!

Pyper asks that you please ignore her skinny 'chicken legs'. She had a bit of surgery last week...teeth cleaned and a wart removed on her toe. The vet tech must have been a little over zealous with the clipper. At least she has sweet smelling breath again.

"Caution."

People always tell you "do not play with fire" or as an adult, the infamous "don't add fuel to the fire." I wonder if it's part of human nature to just become excited about being close to danger, to see someone or get someone angry (during debates and whatever it is)?

Are we really scared about the fire that burns us out?
