Today we have had a great day with sun and blue sky all day, that´s fantastic. Lucky we were in our cottage so we could take a walk in the fantastic nature we have there. Yatzy was so happy that he could run around for hours. Here he is taking a break, and he knows how to find photo spot ;-)

I didn't have the time to take photos for the week, but I came up with this. It's a concept I wanted to materialize for a long time. Both photos are mine.

In September 1976 Class 40, 40044 ran away whilst working the 7Z20 stone train from Peak Forest to Whitemoor Yard. The train was derailed and the following 12 loaded wagons ploughed into the rear cab. it was thought the locomotive might have to be cut up on site but it was later removed to Crewe Works, in a surprise move the locomotive was repaired, not emerging until March 1980. It continued in traffic until January 1985. The accident occured at Chinley and was photographed shortly after being rerailed.
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA a blast from the past , I recently bought a olympus E-620 camera and lens , as I already owned 2 four thirds lenses it made sense to put all my ego in one basket so to say .. not used it much yet but had a trial yesterday in poor light and heres two results with the 40-150 lens . not bad for a old camera

i have finished my SVT 40! It includeds wood grain! Mnf marks on the bolt, magazine, and right where the bolt contacts the handguard. There is also a Tula manufacturing mark where the bolt meets the handguard too! The wood grain isn't perfect. But i didn't want it to lag the screen.
Here's what its based on:

Bij de jubileumviering van de 85-jarige NVBS op 08-10-2016 werd met dieseltreinstellen op de VSM-lijn gereden. We zien hier de Syntus 40 klaar voor vertrek in station Eerbeek, onderweg van Dieren naar Apeldoorn.
Het zorgde voor een fraai stukje lokaalspoorromantiek, een treinstel in een dorpsstationnetje en op een kopspoor enkele goederenwagens.
