i have finished my SVT 40! It includeds wood grain! Mnf marks on the bolt, magazine, and right where the bolt contacts the handguard. There is also a Tula manufacturing mark where the bolt meets the handguard too! The wood grain isn't perfect. But i didn't want it to lag the screen.

Die 1144. 40 ist die einzige 1144er die noch die Blutorange Lackierung und das Pflatsch besitzt. So präsentierte sich die wunderschöne Lok mit ihren (LP 85703) von Villach Hbf nach Lienz in Osttirol bei Lendorf, Kärnten. Später bespannte Sie den (IC 834) von Lienz in Osttirol nach Wien Hbf.

La 1144.40 è l'unica 1144 a sfoggiare ancora la livrea color arancia rossa e il logo "Pflatsch". Ecco come si presentava la splendida locomotiva (LP 85703) da Villach Hbf a Lienz, nel Tirolo Orientale, vicino a Lendorf, in Carinzia. Successivamente, trainò l'IC 834 da Lienz, nel Tirolo Orientale, a Vienna Hbf.

The 1144.40 is the only 1144 still sporting the blood orange livery and the "Pflatsch" logo. This is how the beautiful locomotive presented itself with its (LP 85703) from Villach Hbf to Lienz in East Tyrol near Lendorf, Carinthia. Later, it hauled the (IC 834) from Lienz in East Tyrol to Vienna Hbf.

Bij de jubileumviering van de 85-jarige NVBS op 08-10-2016 werd met dieseltreinstellen op de VSM-lijn gereden. We zien hier de Syntus 40 klaar voor vertrek in station Eerbeek, onderweg van Dieren naar Apeldoorn.

Het zorgde voor een fraai stukje lokaalspoorromantiek, een treinstel in een dorpsstationnetje en op een kopspoor enkele goederenwagens.

...and 40 nights if it rains on St. Swithuns Day, eh? That's our summer buggered then!

 

Being the trooper I am I went out to a local wood or two yesterday to see what was around. Not much at all. Even the hardy Ringlets were thin on the ground. In fact only the hardiest ventured out in the rain - those with Swallow Tattoos on their upper wings!

 

This is a Gatekeeper from a few days back taken with fill-flash because of the gloomy perch he chose. Still haven't got to grips with using flash for macro, but I'm pleased with the detail it brought out on this shot.

40 years separate these two! Which would you choose?

Green-liveried D345 (40 145) leads blue-liveried 40 012 Aureol (D212), with a couple of Mki BSK's in tow, approaching Hellifield at Haw Lane Crossing working 5Z39 Butterley MRC to Castleton Hopwood GF (ELR). The locos will run round the coaches in the DGL here and proceed down the ex L&Y line via Clitheroe.

Some attention from the weed-killing train wouldn't go amiss.

Class 40 40190 was withdrawn through collision damage 31/12/1976 and sent to Crewe Works for cutting up here it stands in the yard on 15/02/1976 , it was cut up here during May 1976.

Sweet potatoes, onions, broccoli, bell pepper, carrots, garlic, lemon and parsnip.

Cut into pieces, sprinkle generously with herbs and olive oil.

Bake in oven for about 30-40 minutes, medium-high temp.

 

I ran out of eggplant & zucchini this time.

British Railways The English Electric Company Limited Type 4 1Co-Co1 class 40 diesel-electric locomotive number 40104 of Longsight Diesel Traction Maintenance Depot arrives at Kents Bank railway station on the Up Main line with the 13:10 Barrow-in-Furness to Liverpool Lime Street passenger train. 13:41, Saturday 18th June 1983

 

Note, 40104 was built by The English Electric Company Limited (works number 2826) at The Vulcan Foundry Limited Locomotive Works (works number D541) at Newton-le-Willows in 1960 for British Railways as number D304, being renumbered 40104 in week ending 9th February 1974

 

40104 had passed earlier in the opposite direction working the 10:45 Preston to Barrow-in-Furness (2P91). And the patch of light paint on the body side behind the front cab door covered up the unofficial name WARRIOR

L'any 2001 es van adquirir 3 autobusos Scania procedents de Salamanca de Transportes (nºs 302,303,306). Han estat els únics urbans que no han estat adquirits de segona mà a la comunitat de Madrid. Tots tres vehicles van ser retirats del servei entre el 2003 i el 2005, el 302 i 306 estaven assignats a Mollet i el 303 a Vilanova. El 302 va ser finalment traspassat a Tarragona per realitzar els serveis de l'Aeroport de Reus fins l'arribada dels articulats ex-EMT de Madrid. Adjunto foto del 303 a Vilanova, un Scania 112 amb carrosseria Castrosua CS-40, posat en servei en 1988.

During year 2001 three Scania buses were acquired from Salamanca de Transportes (nºs 302,303,306). They were the only urban buses acquired second-hand from an operator different than the Comunidad de Madrid ones. The three units were withdrawn between 2003 and 2005, nºs 302 and 306 were assigned to the Mollet garage and nº 303 to Vilanova garage. Nº 302 would end up at Tarragona working at Reus airport internal service until the arrival of ex-EMT Madrid articulated buses. The photo shows nº 303 at Vilanova, a Scania 112 with Castrosua CS-40 body, put in service in 1988.
