My Peugeot 405 Mi16. This is an old photo and the car was sold maybe 6 years ago. This car was one of my favs therefore posting a pic. This car had character and was fun. The engine was 1.9 16v with 160bhp. Not massive power but it was fun like the 306DTurbo I had before.

405: Life can be tough. It was good that he picked an abandoned rail line to sit upon just around a curve. I hope my prayers helped and things turned out better for him.

The Peugeot 405 was launched in Europe in 1987. Both wagon and saloon (Befline) - shown here, were available. Production ended in 1997 in Europe, though the 405 is still manufactured in Iran.

The car was one of the early fruits of the merger of the Citroen marque into the PSA (Peugeot) group. The platform was shared with the Citroen BX.

The Peugeot 405 was a direct replacement for the RWD Peugeot 505 model, though was able to offer nearly as much interior accommodation through the use of a compact transverse FWD layout whereas the 505 had been RWD. The Peugeot 405 also represented a long line of family oriented 40X models, the last of which, the 404, had a production run from the early 1960s. The 405 was itself replaced by the larger 406, again with a chassis shared with Citroen, this time the Xantia.

The Peugeot 405's crisp lines were the work of Italian design house Pininfarina, who had been responsible for many previous Peugeot model designs. The theme was seen in the larger Alfa Romeo 164 model, shown launched later that year.

Still a pretty common sight, but unusual in that both of the centrecaps are present on the alloy wheels. Predictably, one was missing off the other side.

I have previously photographed this, but I thought I'd add another shot to my uploads just to show the range of stuff I saw in one short trip out yesterday.
