Took 13+ hours, roughly. Printed in yellow and black PLA.

This is a roughly 60mm dodecahedron printed on our latest MakerBot prototype. The z-stage is a bit wobbly, but the rest of the build quality is nice.

Learning about 3-D printing

Adafruit neopixel projects. 3D printed mounts for arduinos and capacitors.

Rob Giseburt's ( www.tinkerin.gs/ ) design for the MakerBot CupCake CNC.

The plywood parts come attached in sheets like these.

These have a pleasant campfire/woodstove aroma due to the slight charring of cut surfaces.

I ordered the XL upgrade kit along with my Simple. It expands the build volume and provides some structural reinforcement. I am going to wait a bit before installing it, although I have built the spool (the upgrade frame can act as a spool holder).
