This is a roughly 60mm dodecahedron printed on our latest MakerBot prototype. The z-stage is a bit wobbly, but the rest of the build quality is nice.

The plywood parts come attached in sheets like these.
These have a pleasant campfire/woodstove aroma due to the slight charring of cut surfaces.
I ordered the XL upgrade kit along with my Simple. It expands the build volume and provides some structural reinforcement. I am going to wait a bit before installing it, although I have built the spool (the upgrade frame can act as a spool holder).

Awards for the winners of the Contagious Media Showdown. Custom printed on our 3D printer, each trophy represents the traffic to the site over the course of the contest.
Added the flicker-electronics, IR sensor as well as the MP3 playback. Tonights big disappointment was an audio-amp that didn't work - thus the very low sound on the effects. Crank it up to hear the woman say 4,3, 2, 1 until the final (scare) effect triggers...
I'll keep working on this tomorrow night, but I don't really have that much time left, do I?
