From Lulzbot, for the Prusa Mendel.2 in progress. A beautiful gizmo, from a cool company.

Here you can see the printer inside the enclosure (via one of the doors I added). You can also see my jury-rigged heater (a hair dryer mounted in a stand of bailing wire).

The anti-warping technology worked so well that this large print which I started just slightly too high (and as such didn't quite get all the first layer well adhered to the platform) still didn't warp.

VICTORY!

This is my first dualstrusion PLA print.

I was not expecting PLA to be so ... fluffy?

Also, the black jammed just short of the finish. :(

I believe I will try shaving the frog and then using a blow-torch to finish it.

This dash is for the StreetScooter, an elektric citycar now developed at Aachen University. The dash is printed by Objet

Using a Public Domain Model by Liz Havlin, I modified it so I could do another multi-color print.

some warping... it is colder now, and that should help with the heat-creep, but now I will have to work harder to avoid warping :(

I setup a pcduino3 to run pronterface. But it couldn't handle a model with this complexity, not enough memory. But what kills me is that the Replicator would happily print something like this from SD card... with a fraction of the RAM. Why does pronterface have to be such a memory hog?

Back to stupid Windows on my netbook again.

Ultimately I plan to use www.astroprint.com/ with the pcDuino3. But it is as yet unreleased.

I still need the pcDuino3, though, as I connected a PowerSwitch Tail to it, and using the gpio drivers I can turn off the lulzbot from remote if it jams again while I'm off-site.

I'd been trying to print her at a 45 degree angle so that the front surface wouldn't be marred by supports and so that I could print her all at once and as big as the Replicator could manage.

But the smaller cross-sections lodged in the support were shrinking away from the support material, so I put her as flat as I could.

Here you can see that MakerWare's concept of "maximum" scaling does not so much allow for the gunk barriers. And that the Replicator itself is happy to print past the edges.

I love the design on these guys. I want to cut this in netfabb and make it into easily ToM printable cuts for a 3x to 4x sized build.
