Removing the brim was more of a chore than I anticipated. The white pla has enough coloring in it to make the consistency a bit more gummy, a bit more like abs, which made it easier to shave with a knife.
Never the less, stacking (and gluing) the pieces leads to an impressive whole.
It has its flaws, but I'm quite pleased with how much fine detail came through.
Printed larger it might be a bit more complete, but perhaps not wire so delicate.

From left to right, the new completed and cleaned up (shaved a bit off the top) tamper, then the previous attempt from the fall that ended so badly just shy of the mark and finally the original inspirational steel version.
Clearly the steel version is a bit more nuanced in its curves. Perhaps I can get better with google sketch-up. But for now, this should be fully functional/usable.
Alas, I appear to have spent more replicating it than it would've cost to buy another. But I would not be the better person I now am for it. I guess.
