This looked better on my camera I think. I think if I had Photoshop I could have made this a lot better. I wanted to bring out the glassy surface of the ceiling more but not overly darken too many areas; this was a bit tricky on picnik. Anyway this is the celling at a mall. I liked these little lights. One thing about this project is that it's forcing me to always 'look' for a shot - so I'm noticing a lot more about my surroundings than ever before.

Sittin' on my own
Chewin' on a bone
A thousand million
Miles from home, when
Something, hit me
Somewhere right between the eyes
You take me, walking
To where you played
Another “interesting” day to say the least. I woke up this morning in an alien room, to an alien sunrise in an alien land. I looked out the window and thought I was still dreaming. Fields of golden grasses, horses grazing, the sounds of sheep and pigs and looming above it all were the blood red cliffs of Hurricane. One of the most spectacular mornings of my life.
Well I got up to find that Brad’s wife had made me some breakfast. I took a shower, played with the dog and talked in detail with Jan. The inevitable question was asked…”So Mike, how old are you?”
“Twenty-one.”
Shock, disbelief and acceptance. I took out my wallet and laid it open to my drivers license on the kitchen counter…”here’s how I usually look.”
“Wow you are young to be out here on your own.”
Anyway, I am sure Jan and Brad had a lot to discuss tonight in Las Vegas. I was so guilty when I left this morning - but it worked out because Brad had a meeting tomorrow in Vegas. I just feel that they have given me so much and I have given them so little.
So, the first thing I did when I returned to Cedar City (Brad had a free ticket to the Shakespeare Festival and insisted I take it) was to get a roll of film developed, have an 8x10 enlargement made and purchased a frame for their Lake Powell family portrait which I hope to drop off on my way through Hurricane on Sunday. I hope they like it. I am sure they will. They are definitely great, honest and true people…I can’t say that enough.
As I said earlier I’m up here in Cedar City once again - biding my time until “King John” tomorrow night, visiting with “old” friends.
A man’s life is like the night sky; black and dark with flashes and starbursts of genius. We are all astronomers searching the skies for our own special heavenly events - our own supernovas, that make all of those other points of light pale in comparison.
Some of us find it and live happily ever after.
Some of us think we have found it only to discover that it is nothing but a smudge on our lens, distorting the search.
And there are those that never find it, as hard and as long as they strain at the search, in the end they are left alone surrounded by the black void.

This row of houses on High Street, Macclesfield, are dated 1848. The property on the corner of John Street is No.39 and is shown in the local trade directories as having been in 1878 the premises of John Worthington, beer retailer. By 1910 it was occupied by Arthur Sherwin, Grocer. The surviving shop window and bricked-up remains of the other are certainly indicative of such use.

lying down on my back on mummy's legs makes me want to sleep....zzz...
the very first time when daddy did this was at our first puppy class... the trainer showed the dog owners how to calm a puppy down, by putting us on our backs on the owners' laps. my dad followed and i didn't like it at first as i couldn't get down, but soon after i gave up wiggling and fell asleep.
mum and dad still do this sometimes, but they have to sit on the floor with me as i am too big to be a lap dog now :D

Teej dure 3 jours.
According to the mytology, the goddess Parvati carried out a rigorous fast for many years to prove her love for the god Shiva before he accepted to be his husband.
Teej is reserved only for women.
Teej symbolise this union, during the festival we can see women who pray to Shiva and Parvati seeking their blessing for marital bliss. The festival last 3 days.

Out for drinks with friends my last night in San Francisco... Ahhh.
Too bad by that night I had lost my voice. My family is learning sign language though, so that helped!
Yummy!
