Ah....on vacation again without the dogs. We are in Bar Harbor, Maine. Dogs are allowed in Acadia National Park so we got to see lots of them! Dunkel would have loved this place. 😊
Yup, I turn 39 today... The end of my 30's! *sigh* It hasn't been a great birthday week, but that doesn't stop it from arriving!
Birthday horoscope... The planets zone in on friendships and relationships today. It’s definitely a day for contacts and connections. Be proactive: send an email to a friend; arrange an evening out. Someone who’s been out of touch is likely to get back in touch if you deliver the right signals! (...So far this hasn't happened... I did get a call that was a wrong number today... should that count?)

my husband and I were on our way home from the bar out with some friends and after dropping off T at the barracks we saw the beautiful hazy lights coming from the ships at port on base. there is a beach directly across from them which is where I took the photo from...

I am too busy today to really give much thought for a photo, but tomorrow I will have many, for I will be hanging out with my awesome friend Rikki for a photoshoot & then a birthday party later!
Also going to see Melanie tonight for a drink at the airport. Have not seen her in 5 years! Wow.
Another shot of Reem from highpark. I realized, I established my routine when editing. I tried to get out of my usual in this one and experiment with different tones.
I'm absolutely loving Spring, and sad it's ending so soon

I've made a big decision today - at the beginning of March, I'm starting the Open University course in digital photography. It's a short course at only 10 weeks, but from everything I've read it is hard work and very intense. I hope I'm up to it!
I've never done the same shot so many times but I waited to the last minute (I'll be out of town on Sunday) and had to go with another silhouette as the day quickly passed me by. I'm looking forward to catching up with everyone's pictures soon.

Barnard 39 is a dark nebula located in the constellation of Monoceros. Located right next to NGC 2264, the dark clouds are in front of the red hydrogen gas.
Color image taken at the remote observatory from the E-Eye site in Spain. The image is composed of 25 hours of exposure time with the ZWO ASI-2600MC color camera using a Takahashi
CCA250 f5 astrograph, riding a unguided 10Micron GM2000.
