My first addition to Scavenger Hunter Gatherer. Electrical box of a Brunswick A-2 pinsetter. I've actually been following the group for a while before I joined so I already have a few shots lined up that I'd like to take.
I got this in the mail today, it's a shadow from the ELF Duo Smoky Eye Kit (5 bucks for 4 duo shadows and a brush, and they're all actually really nice quality) I LOVE the black in this duo, how cool is that shimmer?

On Monday I was sitting in my car in traffic lights, waiting for the green light. It was snowing and the snow flakes melted on the windshield. I stared at the red light and noticed that the melting snow flakes made nice bokeh effect when I didn't focus on them. Yes, nowadays I'm seeing bokeh everywhere, it's a disease! So, in the evening I went to sit into my car again (the car was in the parking lot) and took a few photos of the windshield bokeh. The white balance is set based on the light in the car. The lamp posts outside gave the turquoise touch to the photo. I added only a hint of light in Camera RAW.
Taken with Nikon D80 and Nikon Series E 50mm f/1.8 lens wide open. There's also another version here.
Another view of the Butler Building. This commercial building, circa 1866, started out with two stories that are 120 feet deep. In 1893 an additional three stories were added to the structure, each 50 feet deep. A distinguishing feature of this building with its cast-iron storefront, is the vertical groupings of windows under arches. This widely used design feature was introduced by H.H. Richardson, and developed by Henry Louis Sullivan, both noted architects. The pilasters with ornate capitals separating window bays are Neo-Classical Revival elements. The building has been home to various businesses related to furniture and household items as well as tobacco importers and wholesalers. Located in the Armory Square area on South Clinton Street in Syracuse, NY. (S4/39)

"How's my hair?"
"Umm, good. It frames your face pretty well"
During one of Ox-bow's open studio nights a fellow fellowship student, Sophie Roessler, and I had a show opening in the Old Inn Gallery. I created a multitude of costumes, foam wigs, and props to be worn by all willing viewers at the show. It was set up like a small costume shop and I manned the "photo booth" area and played photographer. Sophie created a tween dreamscape combining dollhouses with human hair and tiaras and wands dangling from the ceiling. It was a young girl's dream show.
