Strobist: SB-800 into lastolite ezybox directly overhead. SB-28, gelled orange onto white foamcore behind.
Abandoned for 33 years now, the failed Emerald River Resort in Laughlin, at the very bottom tip of Nevada. Read about the $800 million boondoggle here:

I took this image a few yards away on the Bullhead City Arizona side of the Colorado River. Despite the heavy rains, the River is nothing more than a puddle, perhaps having to do with the $52.4 million Laughlin-Bullhead Bridge under construction about seven miles to the south. Sometimes water flow is regulated more than usual upriver at Davis Dam to accommodate construction of the bridge. At least, that's my theory on why the river is nothing more than a stream here.
JUMP!
Woooooooooooowwwiiieeeee
Danbo was running outside when he saw this bowl of water in the garden.
He looked at it for a few seconds and then took this huge JUMP and jumped right over it!
I think he was very lucky to make it to the other side!
The cats use it for a drinking bowl when they are outside and if they would have found a little Danbo in it who knows what would have happened to him...!

Feeling a little better today but not much... I found out what was making me sick though... the Special K bar I eat for breakfast every morning started putting wheat in them... grrrrrrrrrrr Grrrrrrrrrrrr GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Old barn along M-60 outside of Concord, Mi. Would love to try to shoot this at night with the stars moving behind it. For my fellow 366ers does this work for Architecture?
Looking up the staircase to the top of the church balcony where the round stained glass window lives.
Here in Colombia we got a place equiped with a recipe made of Cement and Bricks and of course a faucet... This place is used to wash the mops to clean common areas in a Building.
I met my mom and stepsisters in San Francisco Saturday to see "Wicked" at the Orpheum. It was very good, as everyone said it was going to be. I was more amazed by the visual aspects (set, lights, costumes, dancing) and the singing than by the plot itself. I felt like there were gaps in the plot that made a couple events seem strange and unexplained. But, it was very enjoyable!
After the play we had dinner on the wharf and walked around Pier 39 a bit. We also went to Ghiradelli's and had some chocolate ... yum! I'm totally regretting bringing some home. It was a fun night with the girls though.
This is my stepsister Lindsay in front of the carosel on Pier 39. The serious look is a joking one. I told her to look longingly into the night. We were laughing a lot right before and after this shot.
And the light fairies joined us again. :)
