I plan on using this during the 366 challenge but not yet.

Another day of howling wind and too many issues. Awful to say: I'm glad tomorrow is Monday.

 

Only highlight was an apricot bread-and-butter pudding I had in the pub, which if I weren't such a gannet, I'd have thought of photographing :-)

DRS class 37 409 "Lord Hinton" on the rear of the final farewell of Northern Rail class 37 passenger services 2Z38 Carnforth - Carlisle. Jan 11th 2019. Pole shot.

Class 37's along with other freight engines from around the country were usually pressed into service on Summer Saturdays to take the thousands of workers for their annual summer holiday to the coast and back again a fortnight later.

Winding it's way back through the South Yorkshire coalfields dropping off it's cargo of weary holidaymakers, 37036 stops off at Wombwell with the 1140 Scarborough-Sheffield.

As usual the front coach has a healthy contingent of bashers leaning from every window.
