Westbound CSX train Q-369-02 is near Lapaz, Indiana on June 2nd, 1991 with CSX 6527-6825. Train had 64 cars including a mix of loaded hoppers on the head end followed by a mix of auto racks, auto parts, refers and boxcars. I took 7 photos of this train including photos of BN, Milw, SCL and SP auto racks and C&NW box on the end.
The B&O actually named a coach after this town in 1949.
Lapaz, Indiana allegedly had an interlocking tower with facing/trailing point crossovers and intersected with PRR's Vandalia Line that ran from Logansport to South Bend. The junction was just east of Lapaz and also had a coal tower and depot.
CSX GP40 #6527 was built by EMD as B&O #3751 in January of 1971.
CSX GP40 #6825 was built by EMD as L&N #3029 in September of 1967.

Seaboard System (SBD) U18B 369 at Orlando, Florida on September 28, 1984, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Number 369 was built for the SCL around October 1974 (c/n 39877), I'm not sure if it made it into the CSXT roster. If it did, I believe it would have been CSXT 1967.

Hi Girls! =)
Gostei, e vocês?
E o carnaval?
Amanhã volta a batalha né?!
Beijoss

hello, eveyone!
i'm back "home" after a weekend trip to my other home in NY. hope everyone is happy and well and full of creativity... i missed my flickr folks very much!
i didn't get any great shots this weekend, but that wasn't much of a priority while i was there. i did take the photos on the actual days of the 365 project, but that is as far as my commitment stretched this weekend.
this shot was taken very late night at the end of the first day of my trip. very long day of travel followed by a complicated night that didn't quite go as planned. but what ever does? here, i'm just sitting at my brother's computer (he and his wife were my gracious "hosts" this weekend) looking for some words to write to a friend after a misunderstanding ... and kind of failing.
odd night over all. the kind you really wish you could do over...
