EYMS service X4 which links Hull, Ferriby, Brough, Market Weighton, and York on a two-hourly basis will be withdrawn after service on 20/05/17. The route was launched in March 2011 as a fast option between Market Weighton and York, missing Pocklington. It was extended to Brough in January 2012, and then to Hull in June 2013. Alternative bus or train journeys are available to cater for most of the links it provides, and it is only really travel between Newbald/Sancton and York/Hull, and between South Cave and York which will become impossible. Initially operated by Eclipse 348 allocated to Pocklington depot, workings were transferred to Elloughton along with 348 when the first extension was implemented. A second vehicle became necessary when the X4 was extended through to Hull, and Hull-based Eclipse 369 was repainted into route-specific livery. Shortly afterwards former E400 demonstrator 779 replaced 348 on the Elloughton duty, reflecting more the possibility of interworking with school routes than any demand for capacity.
The aforementioned 369 was caught this afternoon on Skeldergate in York with the 11:45 journey from Hull. Current diagramming sees this vehicle operate the 08:17 York-Hull X46 after the 05:55 Hull-York X4, providing an ostensibly rare opportunity to travel on board a single decker on that route. This is because the 08:48 ex York X4 was cutback to commence in Market Weighton in May 2015 and is currently operated by an X46 duty after a Bishop Burton College run.
A day trip to Oxford today (30/03/2021) and the sun came with me as well! The buses in Oxford are a colourful collection from a number of operators including Oxford Bus Company, Thames Travel, Stagecoach and, to a lesser extent, Arriva.
Although I didn't venture north of the High Street (next time maybe?), there was still a great deal to capture throughout the day.

Delivered to East Yorkshire Motor Services in 2010 as 369 (YX10 EYU), it would be then later branded for the Wicstun Express between Hull and York for which it operated until it received EYMS colours again after the arrival of the 400MMCs.
In April 2021, It was delivered to Go North East's Riverside Depot, receiving fleet number 5501, along with YX10 EYV (5502) and YX10 EYW (5503), in the EYMS cream and burgundy red. In June 2021, 5501, 5502 and 5503 gained their swoopy Metro Centre Shuttle livery, in red (5501), yellow (5502), and green (5503) and private registrations BU51 MCE, BU52 MCE and BU53 MCE respectively.
In February of 2023, all 3 B7s had been transferred (along with a further 2 that were transferred to GNE only a matter of months before 5509, 5510) and 5504 (that was delivered some months before 5501, 2 and 3 ) to now sister company Go North West for further use. As of 11/05/23, all 5 retain their GNE liveries but have been re-plated back to their original registration plates they were delivered with.
5501, BU51 MCE did not enter service with Go North East more than what felt like a dozen times. Engine issues meant that it wouldn't enter service at all, or to be sent back to the depot later in the day due to 'issues'.
