This year marks the 148th anniversary of the Battle of Kennesaw Mountain. These reenactors put on a great show by demonstrating some cannon fire. These men are educators.

Our girls got the Disney Princess version of the "Pretty Pretty Princess" game for their b-days this past weekend. I sat down and played it again today with my favorite 5-yr old! <3

Our 2 bichons. The puppy (Jasper) is the one on the left, and the 3-yr old (Coco) is on the right. After a haircut, I have to do a double take on which one is which. However, their personalities are completely opposite - Jasper is full of energy and Coco selectively plays with him. Here they are both enjoying dog bones, except now Jasper is eyeing Coco's. He's just asking for it!

It was a L O N G day of driving people around with a ton of other crazy drivers! I was SO glad to be home and done for the day!
A hawk came around looking for food, but this mockingbird would have none of it and began squawking at it. The hawk didn't act too concerned, but it eventually flew away. Mockingbirds can be very annoying.
On June 27, 1864 some of the fiercest fighting of Sherman's Atlanta campaign took place near Kennesaw Mountain. These trenches are very near the "dead angle" where desperate union forces tried to break through. The attack was repulsed and the union army was forced to retreat.
