Grabbed a quick few shots of Riley sat on the couch just before his bedtime so I could have the night off. Plus I'm guaranteed a still model when he's watching Scooby Doo :)
Shot at 1.4 on the Samyang with a yongnuo 560iv on 1/8 power fired through an opaque glass lampshade behind Riley hitting the wall behind him.
Sorry for next to no interaction on here of late. Time is short at the moment but normal service should resume next week so I'll catch you all then..
This is number 51 of my 366.

Note: the imperfections in stitching because of the slow shutter and some folk moving between shots ... such is life
How he wakes up this happy at 5.30 in the morning is beyond me.
Out for a mooch around the park in Marple this morning to chuck a few stones in the river.
I grabbed this one after making him chuckle. I missed focus by about an inch but it matters not. In fact I think it adds to the feel and another one of the wee man to look back on fondly in years to come.
Happy days.
This is number 135 of my 366 and a well deserved night off.
While out on a ride down Monona Drive, I came across Johnny. Almost 8 years to the day that I first photographed him on the capitol square! He expressed a Coke would quench his thirst, as I figured I could used some electrolytes and bought him the cold sweet treat. Good to see him doing well all these years later.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, many bars/restaurants are required by law to limit capacity limits of patrons, or utilize outdoor patio space if social distancing is not achievable inside. In spring of 2020, under Governor Tony Evers "Safer at Home" order, bars were required to shut down at the end of March through the end of May. These photos document this chapter in our city's history, some have been fortunate to make it through but for some this was the last call.
There was something in the way she moved along the sidewalk. So wrapped up in her own thoughts that the city quieted around her.

Roughly a month removed from hand surgery, my pins were removed on Monday the 21st. It seemed only fitting to get in a sweet 16 miles when it was 52 degrees in December. While this was not my first time back in the saddle, but it was 11 miles more then my first ride back on the 18th.
Surly Midnight Special
Take-off.
Went for an outing to Marlow today as Imogen wanted to spend some birthday money in Jack Wills. Tobes was waiting outside with Milo (the dog) when a lady said to him, "Sorry, I don't have any money!" He wasn't looking that scruffy!! Anyway, here's a gull. Best of a bad bunch!
We thought that we would have a try at levitation today! It's harder than it looks! Something to try again as there are some great examples out there!
Chris Enos and Sam Orke bid a fond farewell to a grill they've used during tenure of six years at UW-Madison. While admittedly I was on assignment for the Isthmus, it was easy enough to get names and stories for use in my (608)strangers project. I learned that before the grill came to Chris and Sam, it was a mainstay at Sam's parents house. I'm sure the tailgates and near grease fires (multiple times) were much more action then it ever got in it's previous life.
During the Lot 45 event during moving weekend for the UW-Madison (put on by the Office of Sustainability), many college students are able to drop off unwanted items with no fees accessed. The city of Madison normally charges a nominal amount to recycle or dispose of many large items left behind during moving days. I requested a quick photo op, both for the paper and my own memories of moving and downtown living. The grill may not have a name, but it will forever hold a place in their hearts and with high hopes they will find this photo and share it for future generations (as tacky as that sounds).
The 100 strangers group is full of amazing photographers doing similar projects, meeting new people and getting awesome pictures to tell the story. I can't push it enough that if you are looking to expand your portfolio or just general people skills, join the group and try something new!
