There's so much more to flying than just flapping around from place to place! A... a... mosquito does that!

Found these raccoon tracks out at Twinn Buttes reservoir. I wish I had a ruler to lay beside the tracks so you could see how large they were. Looking online at height and weights of raccoons, it may have been a 35 pounder.
35/365 - february 4, 2008
sorry about the lateness of these 365s - we've been skiing in idaho for the past week and alas, there's no internet access in the mountains. he looks thrilled, doesn't he?
we had a pretty lazy afternoon and aaron actually consented to having his picture taken. a true miracle.

Viewfinder and Rangefinder Version of the Kodak 35. The rangefinder model year is 1945; the year of the viewfinder model may be 1939 or early 1940 as it has no dateable serial number on the lens. (see note below)
Tomorrowland 35
I have taken many ultra-wide shots of Tomorrowland so I decided to give the Nikon 35 1.4 a go through the land. Once again, it gives me a tighter view that really brings some of the details such as the signs into larger focus. The signs too are the most difficult part of shooting Tomorrowland. It is very easy to blow the signs out when properly exposing for everything else. This can be beat by bracketing but you have to be careful on your blend or it will look bad. The Laugh Floor sign especially I have lost track of how many blown versions I have seen of this out there.

Spent the afternoon after school with my girl shopping for a dress for the homecoming dance. We found two to our surprise. She texted her friends photos of the dresses as she tried them on for their opinions...mine doesn't matter so much anymore. Sort of feeling like she is so grown up yet still she is the baby. I'm cherishing this time with her and appreciating what a good kid she is but sure wishing I could freeze time for just a bit.
bday today. This is me without a shave, without a shower, and 35.
