I wanna feel reckless

I wanna live it up, just because.

So I'm back home from DC and I miss Margaret already! She definitely needs to come visit me over the summer so we can finish watching Harry Potter and hopefully I won't fall asleep.

And yes, I'm aware this is late, but you can blame that on Jetblue for delaying my flight home!

Beyer Peacock Class 35 "Hymek" 1,700 hp Bo-Bo's No.(D)7001 & (D)7028 in BR blue with all-yellow front ends (and with the aluminium "D's" painted over) at Shelwick taking the Worcester line on the "Hymek Swansong", 09/73, as the remainig members of the class were scheduled for withdrawal soon afterwards. However, because of a shortage of motive power and the fact that the "Hymeks" were the most reliable of the hydraulics, the last was not withdrawn until 1975. Scanned photograph taken with a Kowa SET in very poor light.

This is from my first maternity shoot a couple weeks ago. Shot in my garage in Minneapolis.

The famous Olympus Trip 35! Not because of its outstanding features, quite the opposite! This is the PEN concept in 24x36. Cheap, made with cheap materials (but well assembled and finished), this was a camera for the masses and it found a great success. Trip cameras were still build when Olympus started to produce digicams, almost a a Dynasty, if a humble one. The crease on the top plate is remisniscente of the PEN series (F in particular) and if you overlook the viewfinder, the camera has a strinking resemblence to the digital EP1, it seems that the Pen and Trip genes are still alive!

Really where my interest in all things celluloid began. My late father had one of these when I was a kid in the 1960s. I can remember being intrigued by the blue lens.

This bus was new to Lothian Buses as 35 in 2008.

Seen here on Portobello Road.

Solo 35 on a 69 to Portobello and the short lived extension to Fort Kinnard which was dropped from the route shortly after this was taken.

An alteration has been made to the route to cover Craigentinny Avenue and Nantwich Drive, since this shot was taken, no longer covering Portobello Road as seen here.

This bus is now with Bay Travel.
