The Olympus 35 DC has the same six element 40mm f1.7 lens, body and rangefinder as the Olympus 35 RC but is AE only and offers no manual override. Although this can be limiting to some extent, I like the fact that all you have to do is focus, point and shoot. I have both the 35 RC and 35 SP but have a soft spot for the DC.

35,000 feet over Argentina. Picture taken by my girlfriend on holiday with the "Cigna" high flyers club, sadly I got left at home. :-)

My newly acquired Soligor 35-70mm on my K200D. In the background is the Miranda Sensorex with Soligor 50mm/f1.4
Soligor lens were well known during the 60's; because they were the lenses of Miranda Cameras, the poor man's Nikon. I used to have a couple of Soligor lenses for my old Miranda SLR and they were great lenses.

I had a totally different idea in mind for today's photo, but when the thunder started rumbling and the sky started darkening I decided to grab my camera and shoot out on the staircase instead to capture this gorgeous, ominous sky! My studio is located inside this beautiful building, by the way, so I knew I was eventually going to do a photo out on the staircase anyway. I just wish I had worn something....well....prettier than just jeans and a T-shirt. For this shot I think it would have been awesome if I could have worn a hooded cape or something, not that I actually own a hooded cape. Haha! Had I known we were going to have skies like this today, though, I DEFINITELY would have done a little Ebay shopping beforehand. :)
This is from my first maternity shoot a couple weeks ago. Shot in my garage in Minneapolis.

Route 35 (Clapham Junction-Shoreditch) also transferred from Abellio London to Go-Ahead London Central on Saturday 30th April. Rather more conventional fare for this route is a batch of ADL Enviro400 MMCs such as EH47 seen in Gracechurch Street in the City of London on Tuesday 3rd May.
**************************************
Routes 35 and 40 were returned to Go-Ahead London Central on Saturday 30th April, after 7 years in the hands of Abellio London. The new contracts called for 42 new hybrid double-deckers; the 22 buses for route 35 are the new standard ADL Enviro400H MMC that is now being seen in increasing numbers on London's streets, whilst the 20 buses for the 40 are Volvo B5LHs carrying the new MCV EvoSeti bodywork, a first for London although some entered service with East Yorkshire Motor Services last year. As both routes are allocated to Camberwell (Q) Garage some mixing inevitably occurs, and the types are also likely to be seen on other Camberwell-operated routes.
At the same time route 345 went the other way, from Go-Ahead to Abellio, and is now providing work for some of the displaced Enviro400s; others are going to West London for Ealing local route E9.

My Olympus 35 RC had served me well, but it will go for sale at ebay :
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170722376644?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT...
You can see pictures taken with this camera and more pictures of the camera in my gallery inside the "1970 Olympus 35 RC" album. Only the camera and the case is for sale:
The shutter and aperture blades on this need cleaning.
Taking out the battery and undoing the 3 obvious silver screws here enables the electronics board to be partially lifted up but the wires at the top have very little slack.
This is not the way.
