passenger observations 2: motion trees
I took this from the car, condensation on the windows and motion blur created quite a painterly effect..ok, so its not 'technically right', I liked the effect anyway! ;0)
Blushing bride - noticed this one in a friends garden. Very soft & delicate, would be a nice addition to our garden.
Today was epic. I worked until 7pm because its late night shopping until Christmas and I could get the bus later. I then remembered I was meeting Dave & Co at the Wheel tonight, plus I needed petrol.
So, I drove my car back into town and used the opportunity to shoot the wheel from inside the Winter Wonderland. To be honest it was a lot more atmospheric inside than I had imagined. I will definatley be popping back next week.
I shot this whilst talking to Dave (Who is dead tall). I love the reflection in the ice rink- its funny how my 365 is coming full circle- note the Merry-Go-Round in the distance that I shot at day 3 :)

Canadian grain from Saskatchewan rolls through Minneapolis after waiting for an eastbound stack train. I am taking a guess at the train's origin given the railroadfan wiki page and the Northern Transcon Railcam train logs. CP 8949 did not pass by on the Detroit Lakes Subdivision, so I am willing to bet it came from the northwest across North Dakota.

Ty doby jsou již dávno pryč, kdy se na cestě ložené strusky z hutích v Linci do Radotína vystřídalo na České straně několik typů hnacích vozidel. Málo kdy se řada 340 podívala na trať číslo 190. Pouze v mimořádnostech nedošlo v Horním Dvořišti k přepřahu na řadu 230, či 240. To se stalo i šestého dubna roku 2018, kdy lokomotiva 340.049 odvezla vlak v úseku Summerau - Protivín, odkud vlak pokračoval v dieselové trakci. Dnes tento vlak jezdí bez přepřahu přes Plzeň v čele s "Vectronem". Tento stroj je již v současnosti odstaven z provozu a údajně má sloužit jako zdroj náhradních dílů pro zbylé dvě "třistačtyřicítky". Poslední výkon je ze dne 31. 07. 2020, kdy se jela zkušební jízda jako Lv 55408 / 55409 České Budějovice - Výhybna Nemanice II., I. - a zpět.
