I'm finding myself in golden hours all the time
life goes in slow motion during these moments of perfected light.
keeping track of days of a year by taking a photograph makes me realize how quickly days go by in general.
life is far too short...
I think I will do a stop motion soon.
I've been craving it.

Holes In Socks!
Holes are good in donuts
and for putting keys in locks.
Holes are good in some things,
but holes aren’t good in socks.
Holes taste great in swiss cheese.
We need holes for wearing rings.
But how do holes get in my socks?
Holes belong in OTHER things!
Holes work fine in inner tubes
and to put mail inside the box.
Holes work fine in things like that
but holes don’t work in socks!
Holes make scissors cut right
and open pockets for my rocks.
I DO need holes in special things,
but who needs holes in socks?
Holes have to be in noses
and our ears to hear friends talk.
Holes have to be in body parts,
but WHO put HOLES in socks?
Holes do let the puddles fill
to splash in on our walks,
but HOLES IN SOCKS JUST GRAB MY TOES ...

Today I am feeling a lot better. I hope I get rid of this cold fast! I don't know about that though, its a high of 10 degrees outside today. AWFUL. I wanted to try out my photoshopping skills today and challenge myself to do something I haven't done yet. I'm in the wall trying to get out!! Haha. This took about 20 mins to edit. It's one image, a lot of clone stamping and one texture.

Trumpeter 1/32 Me 262. Completed a number of years ago, I was never really happy with some aspects of it. Especially leaving the slats and flaps out, whilst technically correct it spoilt the sleek lines of the Me 262. Hence the following rebuild.

I was supposed to be shooting today, but unfortunately the shoot had to be postponed until later in the week, so today I am having a lazy day. I hope I don't have too many of these days, as lazy days = me alone with a packet of biscuits, which is never a good thing ;)

I think I first met Travis at a mall. He was working and I was with some mutual friends walking through. There was a massive party happening later that day and we were all going to go, but that's a story for another time. I got to know him better when he and the mutual friends started the band Almost Christmas. I was just getting into photography back then and I was eager to shoot so I did some band promo material for them.
Travis has a way of telling jokes that I can't quite describe but never fails to make me laugh. There's a certain bluntness to it. He says it so casually as though it were completely normal and it makes you think twice. It actually lends itself quite nicely to his personality. He once got me a Judy head without any provocation. I still have it.

I have a supply of Jelly Bellys to be used as bribery for Finlay. I was thinking about them this morning and how funny it would be for him to do this shot - oh the temptation! FWIW he got 4 ("because I am four") JBs for being my model, which he was thrilled about. Sweet boy.
