this evil is patient, it lives in all men,

Trick or Treat Tuesday - which means time for a Misc. photo. I knew I'd come up with photo ideas that may not fit exactly into a theme, or I'd have too many ideas for one theme and need a sort of roll over theme.

Not going to lie, due to trying to get all photos done and make it so no models were in two photos back to back and trying to make it so each week only featured one photo of a certain model, I may have had to go back into my archive of photos to find one for today.

I totally could have taken a new concept of Steph for today, but time is going by so fast! (note this photo is a new concept for posting, just from a much older shoot, while all of the other photos from this series were taken within the past few months)

Herman had always loved dolls. even as an adult his collection still grew..

he collected all kinds... Old ones, cute ones, tiny ones... and now.. life sized ones.

it had not been his intention to hurt her. he must have done something to startle her, because she screamed...

and then kept screaming.. he just wanted her to be quiet. all he wanted was to talk to her. but when her noises had stopped, and he had slowly removed his hand.. she was so still. she even looked like a doll... he gathered some thin rope, and constructed

a way for her to move again. Now he just needed to find some friends to keep her company ...

*The House At The End Of Miller Road*

*by Drummy*

All the children on the west side of town talked about the old Cooper house.it had been

abandoned after the father went mad and killed both of his daughters before hanging

himself from the balcony. Some people say that they could see a light flicker on and off

in the upstairs window after midnight.late at night some of the children would go past

it on their way home from the park, and dare each other to go inside.sometimes they

would make it as far as the front porch before one of them would scream and run,

scaring the other children into running away as well.

One night the oldest boy, Donnie, dared little Amy to go inside the

house and wave to them from the window. she refused, and he started making fun of her,

which the other children chimed in on by calling her " a little chicken baby".

she was crying, but told Donnie she was "more of a man than him" and made her way to

the front door.the children all peered over the hedges, gasping as they saw her open the

door and walk into the dark house.Donnies little brother brad had barely whispered "no way",

when the front door shut with a loud crack, sending all the children shrieking and running

as fast as they could, back to the safety of their homes. several days passed and Amy had

not returned home. stories from the children alarmed the parents and the police began to

search. the house, the grounds, even the nearby cornfield were searched for days, but not a

trace of little Amy was ever found.

30 years had passed, and all the other children had grown up.they began to hear stories

from their own children about seeing a little girl come out of the house and walk down the

street. some of them said that they saw a similar looking girl walk into Amy's old house.

but that was ridiculous. Amy's house had been demolished 10 years ago,and all that was

there now was the beginning construction of a new house.the land was being held up in

a dispute, and had been nothing more than two by fours, and plastic wrap for years.

but some nights... a little after midnight, a light flickered in the wooden opening upstairs.

*Finishing Touches*

*By Jennifer Brozek*

Steph stood in Heather's studio. The scent of paint, oil and turpentine permeated the air. In Steph's mind, this was how an artist's studio should be. She liked to visit the studios of the artists she intended to buy from. It told her a lot about the painter as well as allowed her the opportunity to buy masterpieces at bargain prices. She stood in front of one piece of abstract art that fascinated her. It was black and white marbled with splatters of dark red across it. "Do you like it?"

Steph smiled at the hint of insecurity in Heather's voice. This would be an easy purchase. Pet the artist's ego enough but not too much. Offer about half of what the painting is really worth, then hesitate and rethink it. She would go for the price. "I do like it. It is...unusual. What's it called?" "It's the first in a new series. I'm calling it my 'Homicide' series."

"There's more?" Steph glanced over her shoulder at the woman cleaning paintbrushes.

"Two. Both smaller."

"I want to see them. Can you hang them up beside this one?"

"Sure." Heather went into the other room and returned with two smaller paintings. She hung them up next to the larger one, just below eye level, as Steph had requested.

After staring at the three paintings for a few moments, Steph realized something. "These are a set; a triptych!" "What do you mean?" "The red paint splatters. They're in line with each other. You splattered them all at the same time."

Heather grinned. "I did. Not many people would notice that. But they don't have to be sold as a set. Each one stands on its own."

"I know. But, I want the set. I like the idea of a 'Homicide Triptych' on my wall. How much for the three of them?" Heather hesitated and Steph did not like that. She turned to the artist. Her game plan was shattered but she did not care. She wanted these paintings so badly she almost ached for them and she did not know why. "How much for all of them?"

"I'm sorry, but they aren't ready for sale. I still have work to do on them."

"Work? What work? I like them as is."

Heather shook her head. "They aren't done. I can't sell them until they're done."

Steph turned back to the paintings and stared at them, looking for the flaw that Heather saw. She saw none. Artists were such an annoying lot. Dissatisfied perfectionists when they already had perfection before their eyes. She looked again. They were perfect to her and she was the buyer. Insecure artists be damned! She crossed her arms and said, "I'm not leaving without these paintings." She listened to Heather move about the room and come up behind her. Heather said nothing. The two of them waited in silence until Steph lost the stand-off. "Well?"

"Well, what?" Heather asked.

"How much do you want for...?" She asked turning to face Heather and stopped as she saw Heather with a baseball bat cocked, ready for a swing. "What?" was all she had time to say before Heather did exactly what she looked like she was doing and hit Steph in the face with the bat. Blood flew from Steph's broken jaw and crushed nose to splatter on the wall behind her. Wounded noises mewled from what was left of Steph's mouth as she stumbled about and fell against the chair. "Beautiful." Heather murmured, looking from Steph to the paintings on the wall now splattered with Steph's blood. "Just a few more finishing touches..." She paused to shift Steph into position on the chair before bringing the bat down on her face with her full force, splattering blood everywhere - though, most importantly, on the paintings. "Just a few more touches and they'll finally be ready."

*Hungry*

*David mitchell*

I couldn't help myself.

They were home, I could smell the cooking. The wife, she was making something delicious.

So delicious. And I tried, I really did try. I tried knocking at the door, I tried explaining I was hungry.

But the husband, he stuck his nose in. Things got heated. All I wanted was for the hunger

to quit, I tried to tell him that. And the Thing inside me made me tell him harder.

We fought, and I got the upper hand. I tied them both to chairs, to keep them out of my way of course.

I ate the dinner she made, it was delicious. But just not enough. I ate everything in their fridge,

and I mean EVERYTHING. Even the Condiments. But It was JUST. NOT. ENOUGH.

I ate everything they had on their shelves, in the pantry, the storage closet.

But I was still hungry. It hurt SO bad, to be SO hungry. The Thing screamed

and writhed and curled inside, demanding to be sated, to be out.

And after everything else was gone, there was only one thing left to eat.

Well...Two things.

*Apartment #E*

*by Drummy*

People moved in and out of apartment #E frequently.

Moving trucks would pull in full, empty out in a matter of hours, and in a few weeks come back

with an empty truck to fill again. each new individual or family would be greeted at the door by

the landlord, with the rental agreement. he was a tall, thin, stern looking man with a large mole

on his neck. the rental agreement he would make sure everyone signed before moving in, had

large block letters at the bottom stating "I WILL NOT EVER COVER OVER, OR CLOSE UP

OR IN ANY WAY ATTEMPT TO CHANGE THE HOLE IN APARTMENT #E".

a family with a small boy moved into the apartment, and as many families before them, signed

the agreement. the mother and father both found it highly absurd, and decided to just keep the

door closed and not use that room. One afternoon the young boy wandered in,and began throwing

his rubber ball against the wall and catching it. after a miscalculated catch, the ball bounced down into

the hole and out of sight.the boy peered into the darkness, but couldn't see anything.suddenly the

ball burst from the hole, bounced off the wall and sat still on the carpet. just then his father came

thru the door and began yelling about him being in the forbidden room.he had been drinking and

angrily drug his boy from the room. minutes later he returned with some thick wooden boards and

large nails, and began to completely cover over the opening in the floor. Once finished, he stumbled off

to sleep on the couch,as the boy was upstairs crying.

the following morning, the father was nowhere to be found. his keys and glasses rested on the coffee

table,as they did every morning. The door to the empty room was open wide, and in the corner were all

of the boards, nails still sticking out, stacked up neatly away from the hole.

*The Music of Erich Zann*

*H. P. Lovecraft.1921*

"It was perhaps an hour later, while I still waited and while the old musician’s feverishly written sheets still continued to pile up, that I saw Zann start as from the hint of a horrible shock. Unmistakably he was looking at the curtained window and listening shudderingly. Then I half fancied I heard a sound myself; though it was not a horrible sound, but rather an exquisitely low and infinitely distant musical note, suggesting a player in one of the neighboring houses, or in some abode beyond the lofty wall over which I had never been able to look. Upon Zann the effect was terrible, for, dropping his pencil, suddenly he rose, seized his viola, and commenced to rend the night with the wildest playing I had ever heard from his bow save when listening at the barred door. "

Today is the first day of my halloween photo series! One photo for every day of October, each day of the week themed. Today is Sunday, so it's "Sunday, Bloody, Sunday". Which means a photo themed around blood and gore.

Lilith is known as the mother of all vampires, or the first vampire. She was also thought to be the first woman on earth, before Eve. When I was thinking of bloody photo concepts, one of the first things that came to mind was obviously a vampire shoot. I wanted to go with the campy blood look, I just love the way the bright red stands out.

I'm hoping I'll have some time to do some blog posts about these shoots to explain a bit more of the process and idea behind each photo.

I answered the phone one night, and a voice on the other end said "you should know, your wife is cheating on you."

"My wife has been dead for a year!" I replied angrily. The voice, a woman's, said "I can't do anything about that. Are you lonely?"

I hung up.

The next night, the same woman called me. "Your wife is cheating on you. Are you lonely?" She asked. I slammed the phone down. The phone rang again. And again. And again. I tried shutting the ringer off, but the phone was broken.

Finally, I ripped the phone cord from the wall. Silence.

And then the phone rang.

*House Sitting*

*re-written by Drummy*

Dwayne was away for the weekend,so he asked Brad to hang out at his place and make sure everything was ok,and his mail was brought in.The house was quiet and

Brad used to evening to browse netflix and order a pizza. he couldn't help but notice the creepy clown doll, which was a constant distraction out of the corner of his eye.

once the pizza arrived,he was walking back to the couch and glanced at the clown. it looked like the head was moved slightly from where it had been before. he stopped and stared at the doll, but nothing happened. it was difficult to watch the film so he decided to call Dwayne. he picked up right away, saying "hey, man, hows it going?"

"good, good.." Brad responded, feeling kind of silly for calling, " hey man, is it cool if i put this clown doll in a room or somewhere out of the way?.. its creepy, and kinda weird.."

A short silence followed by Dwaynes worried voice "Brad, i don't own any clown dolls..."

*The Licked hand*

It was the start of the weekend, and even tho all her roommates were out of town, she

was going to enjoy having the house to herself, and her dog.it was late and she was tired,

so she brushed her teeth, scratched her dogs head, and got into bed.

Her dog always slept underneath the bed, and it made her feel better to know he was there.

She stuck her hand under the bed and he licked it, and she began to fall asleep.

Around midnight, she awoke to a dripping noise. She couldn't figure out what it was, but she stuck her hand under the bed and the dog licked it again, so she was reassured and fell back asleep. A while later, she woke up again. The dripping noise was still going,so she went to the bathroom in the dark, and tightened the faucet to make it stop. She rushed

back into the warmth of her bed and began to fall asleep.

The girl reached under the bed several more times during the night, and the dog licked it again, so she figured everything was okay, but the dripping noise wouldn't stop. Finally she had enough, and got up and went into the bathroom.

She flipped on the light, and covered her mouth as she screamed. her dog was hanging from the showerhead, its throat slit, its blood dripping into the bathtub. Drip... drip... drip... And written on the mirror in blood were these words

: HUMANS CAN LICK TOO.

I found the box in an antique dealer's place in London; it was the kind of store you'd expect to find dusty old heirlooms and useless knick-knacks in, and even had one of those "Ye Olde Curiousity Shoppe" signs out front.

I'd been on vacation in London for almost a month, and I wanted to find something really special to commemorate my time there; I was ecstatic when I found an ad for the Shoppe, and made sure that I had time to stop there before my return flight to Seattle.

It also had two of the strangest people I'd ever meet.

Elizabeth Feathersoft, and Alan Winterschill were the owners and caretakers of the Shoppe, and they had a strange partnership that extended to the layout of the store. Even the way they dressed was in stark contrast to one another: Ms. Feathersoft wore a light dress and accoutriments, while Mr. Winterschill wore dark robes and ornamentation that would suit most warlocks.

Both of their faces lit up when I walked into the store.

But nothing either of them displayed caught my attention. That is, until...

This "31 days of Halloween" story is a collaboration between me and my brother,

with him handling most of the writing, and myself, most of the imagery.

We both love the spooky and the Supernatural, and came up with the story idea together.
