It was Armistice Day yesterday. Its sort of a wierd time of year for us, they say that your senses are a powerful tool in evoking memories.
My Dad died on Armistice Sunday. I think the actual date was the 18th, but we all remember that the various Memorial Services were playing all day on the tv in the Hospice. Despite the time that has passed, its funny how odd little things like Poppys can transport you back to that place.
The weather has been really eratic of late. There were 70mph winds last night and rain on and off during the day. There were some amazing rainbows that we could see through the windows at work.
I shot this from my desk- I altered the saturation of the rainbow whilst experimenting and I was amazed at how clear the bands of colour were, so I kept it and tinkered with layer masks.

Today,s prompt for my 365 is "give thanks for Mother Nature" such as in "seasons," "scenery" and "your backyard" and although this was taken in my backyard it's kind of becoming my backyard since arriving in sunny Florida!
Mother Nature continues to spring to life regardless of the terrain!
