The warnings in the area of western Kansas were a "Torcon 4" on this day which is a rather high notification for tornadoes. However, we had a confirmed Torcon 30 rolling west toward the Colorado state line on the Cimarron Valley, and that was something that was unavoidable. Even with the threat from Mother Nature, this was not to be passed up.
