If anyone at Rock & Roll Fantasy Camp looked the role, it was Colin. He had no shiny white sneakers, no baggy shorts or t-shirt with a goofy slogan. He was coolness in his brown leather pants, skull t-shirt, and wall-to-wall, colorful tats.
But the best thing about Colin is that he brought cake. Rather, his girlfriend, sent one along for his fortieth birthday. I got to have a piece, and it, like much of the camp experience, rocked. It turns out she's the head pastry chef at Cake Love; she's the bakers' baker.
So yea for that, and yea for Colin for kicking ass last night—and for doing it just around the corner from forty.

As any of my Facebook contacts may have seen this week I said "if there are 10cm's of snow I'll eat my hat".
Well we didn'y quite get 10cm's but a lot of other people did so I decided to eat my hat anyway.
It didn't taste very nice to be honest...

My bird feeder is looking more and more like someone discovered the clone tool in Photoshop.
We've had up to 8 of these little birds perched on the feeder at one time so far and I'm looking forward to seeing if they can squeeze a few more on.

30—Reflect
Yesterday and today I have thought about and written “my story” of my life experiences and how they’ve shaped who I am for a virtual sermon discussion group my husband and I are a part of. It has caused me to really pause and reflect about the people and events of my life, God, His involvement and the things I’ve learned and how I’ve grown. It’s been a good process and kind of scary to think of sharing this with others and also freeing knowing I don’t have to hide the real me and I can be authentic.

It's in this year's Seattle Weekly "Best of Seattle" competition, and Tuesday evening around 7:30 we had the place to ourselves.
Classic cars kept in storage - a feast for the eyes in this remarkable and stunning place.

This pair of Canada Geese had over 30 plus goslings. I suspect they were babysitting, A few did not make it into the shot
A D&H/GTI empty salt train is powered by three NS units though Campville, NY on a typical overcast Southern Tier day. This shot was part of a group I pulled for autumn photos and this morning I noticed a 30 is third in consist, so....it sort of fits for today.
