I'm gonna make a brand new start of it,

I saw this not unfamiliar street sign in a small backstreet, I have seen it many times before. On this day it struck me that it was really a sign with no meaning (except for me), it reminded me that my birthday is about to 'happen" again - No, I'm not 'thirty', but at least it reminded me that at 'thirty' I was happy (as happy as I am now) and that although being thirty was good, being 45 will be better - so don't slow down - Speed-up, be careful, don't crash, watch for other 'traffic', be aware of others, and see as much as you can, it may never happen again.

Daily Routine #7
Growing up, my mom would use the Wedgwood China only for special occasions. I use them everyday.
Back when i was a commuter catching the train out Arlington Hts during the big 79 snow strom this commuter went by with the GP-30 on the point.Was i ever mad i wasn't ready with my camera in time.This was very rare that the CNW would use a GP-30 on there commuter trains because of the ATS.some units might have had them at the time.GP-7-9s were used for back up's and snow plow trains with E-8's .I made sure i hunted this baby down when i got into CNW station

During the month of April, I'm taking an online photography class, taught by Tracey Clark from Shutter Sisters. Tracey's going to journey into the zen side of photography, the attention to the moment, finding inspiration in the everyday. It's my favorite form of relaxation, this photography thing, and my view of all of this is very in sync with Tracey's. I'm excited to see where she pushes me to go.
For our lesson today -
"Sometimes the less we plan or try to get a great image, the easier it can come. Today, grab your camera and from where you're at take 30 steps (stay inside, go outside, go upstairs, whatever) and take a picture of what you find there. Discoveries stumbled upon by happenstance can often be little gifts from the universe."
It is 30 steps from my computer to the flower bed in the front yard. Because we live in the desert and have limited water, there are restrictions imposed by the city about landscaping. We saved all of our lawn for the back yard and the front yard is xeriscaped. Except for the flower bed, which is now full of daffodils and grape hyacinth. The day lilies are starting to emerge, and the iris (iri?) look very happy. I sprawled out in the driveway to get this shot. I'm sure the neighbors think I've lost my mind. =]
We're taking the girls to see the dragon movie this afternoon. It will be their first time to see a movie in a theater on the big screen. And it will be my first time in a movie theater in over 5 years. I bought the tickets online and was blown away by how expensive it has gotten! I can only imagine what popcorn will go for! I think we'll still smuggle in some beers, just for old times sake. This time, I'll add some juice boxes to the verboten items.
Hope you are having a great weekend ~ happy easter!
The BM-30 Smerch (Tornado) or 9K58 is a Soviet multiple rocket launcher. The system is designed to defeat manpower, armored and soft-skinned materiel in concentration areas, artillery batteries, command posts and ammunition depots. It was created in 1986 and entered service in the Soviet Army in 1989
Components:
rockets (in containers);
9A52-2 modernized launch vehicle;
transloader;
automated fire control equipment;
set of arsenal equipment;
training facilities.
The 300mm rockets with a firing range of 70 and 90 km and various warheads have been developed for the Smerch MLRS.
The 9A52-2 vehicle with the automated system ensures:
delivery of fire from an unsurveyed fire position;
laying of the launch tube cluster with the crew staying in the cabin and without using aiming points;
autonomous determination of an azimuth of the launch tube cluster’s longitudinal axis;
visual representation of graphical information for the launch tube cluster laying, the route of vehicle movement and location as well as a point of destination and direction of movement on the video terminal;
increase in MLRS survivability owing to reduced time of staying at a fire position;
increased comfort for the laying operator, especially in adverse weather conditions and at night;
increased independent operation owing to the navigation and survey equipment, which allows the vehicle to rapidly change fire positions and move autonomously;
reduction of the combat crew.

Had another photo shoot this weekend of Londa at 30 weeks pregnant. I'll be posting more as I edit them over the next few days. Some even have me in them....what a surprise! Londa knows so many amazing parents that have been giving us just about everything we could need for our little one. It's really been great and I can't thank them more for everything.

my favorite clogs, worn heavily from April-October for almost five years, are officially retired. I'm going to keep wearing them in the studio. So happy I found a pair to replace them with earlier this summer.
This gentleman is W.J. Corcoran, Esq. We're presuming he was Master of a Hunt from his attire, and the little bugle peeping out of his jacket. Thank you to John Spooner for providing confirmation that Mr Corcoran was from Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford, and we now know that he lived at Ballybane House. Still wondering about what appear to be check trousers/jodhpurs? Would check not have been very racy for the times?

So I’m already a bit over 30 weeks pregnant here…starting my 8th month next week! I was surprised to still be able to zip up in this small sized baggy OneTeaSpoon jeans :) it’s a size 26! And the only size 26 non-stretch jeans which actually still fit me now…
On this sunny day in Cairo I was wearing this gorgeous silk Missoni top with sleeve-ties which I love. I wore this black-washed leather Isabel Marant jacket over it and my new white Fendi shoes.
