Early this morning on our patio, a young bear exploring. I suspect this cub has just left its mother.
Been awhile since I posted a SOO GP30 hauling wood. This was early May 1980 with 704 and 744 leading 911 and 98 cars west near Trout Lake. The SOO repainted a handful of the GP30's in the late 70's and 704 was one of the lucky ones to get new paint. It was a warm spring day and the head Brakie has his cab air conditioning on after working up a sweat making the pick up at Trout Lake:)
Vì lời chia tay chưa nói nên em chẳng thể bước đi con đường mới mà cứ lẳng lặng đứng đó ngắm nhìn anh từ xa thật xa…

since they had been together 30 years, i told this couple they were part of a dying breed. ooops! not the most flattering thing to say, but they just laughed.

Q371-30 traverses through the interlocking at Point Of Rocks, MD on July 30, 2021. The historic B&O depot designed by Francis Baldwin is out of sight to the left of the train save for the classic steeple that can clearly be seen above the second unit.
Projects are a great way to keep busy and ensure the creative waters continue flowing. I'm grateful for the projects that I undertake, like the anniversary project Tom and I just completed, NaNoWriMo, or this 30 Days of Gratitude project. The year long projects I've done in the past were wonderful too, but I find I'm enjoying the shorter ones much better. I'm grateful that I try new things, even when it can sometimes be scary.

my vision isn't nearly as well executed, but i am definitely trying some new things with my 365 project and my photo-editing in general.
*also, you may have noticed i skipped a day...i'm not going crazy, i do know how to count (haha) but i hated every photo i took that day. so i am omiting day 29 for now.
I bought myself a new top today and this necklace came free with it. Not sure why as it doesn't really match and I'm unlikely to wear it. Still it came in handy for today's photo.
I pass this sculpture not too far from our house every time I drive the M8 into Glasgow. I've stopped to photograph it only once before, but keep meaning to do it again every time I go past!
On Tuesday evenings, I've been doing a sugarcraft modelling course (very basic and frustrating!) and since I am in the car myself and the nights are so much lighter, I took the opportunity to stop off. It is a truly beautiful sculpture up close.
