RS-18 CFL 3000 is heading back to the head end of its train after lifting two hoppers at a mill in its hometown of Saint-Félix-de-Valois. CFL stands for chemin de fer Lanaudière (i.e. Lanaudière Railroad) and they run the 8.6 miles from Saint-Félix-de-Valois to Joliette (to interchange with the Québec-Gatineau Railway) a couple of times a week (even less outside of winter is my understanding).
Petites fleurs d'1 a 2cm

Nicknamed "the golden flower", it is the symbol of honor and empire in Japan, while the northern Europeans make it an indispensable asset of marriage ceremonies. Fall 1918. At the end of the First World War, France recovered from the biggest conflict it had ever known and had to pay tribute to thousands of victims. A mourning which is expressed by the chrysanthemums.

BPRR 3000, RSR 104, & BPRR 3032 pull the salt loads out of the mine at Groveland, NY on March 9, 2014. The 3103 was used to pull the empties into the mine while these units were coupled up to the loads. After the 3103 pulls all the way up with the empties, it crosses over and is coupled to the end of the loads. Then a see-saw maneuver is performed to bring the 3103 down to this end of the empties so that it can be coupled back up to these 3 units. It was a time-consuming way of getting the empties in, and the loads ready to depart. It seems like these days, the mine switchers are left down by the switch so that the GW1 crew can just get the road power in the clear, and then use the switchers to pull in the empties. If the road train arrives while the switcher crew is still on duty, then the switcher crew grabs the empties after the road power couples up to the loads.

1964 Austin Healey 3000 Mark 111 Convertible, Old English White, one owner (now in the hands of the second owner), full nuts and bolts restoration, like a brand new car.
First time I saw the car, it was literately in an assortment of boxes/containers.....Certainly a tribute to the skill that still exists, even in these difficult times.

Mount Fitzroy or by it's local name "Cerro Chaltén" and also known as Cerro Fitzroy, located in the Los Glaciares National Park of Patagonia, near the El Chaltén village, in Argentina.
A beautiful if rarely seen peak - often cloudy - seems to be a cloud magnet. Very nice climbers only campsite below which, as trekkers, we couldn't stay in but seems to have facilities for climbers to wait out a break in the weather.
