The NCO Leadership Center of Excellence and U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy held a graduation April 3 in the Academy’s Cooper Lecture Center for the Spouse Leadership Development Course Class 69-007. The 18 graduates attended classes totaling 42 hours of instruction.

Taken at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. This little guy (or gal) was swooping past me really fast and I could never get him in focus. Finally he landed on this stem long enough for me to get him in focus and set the burst setting on my camera. I've been trying to get a good shot of a hummingbird for a long time, it feels really good to finally get a few. In fact, if you look closely, you can see the nectar on his beak.

Am Heumarkt (3). In Grundbüchern und Urkunden seit dem 14. Jahrhundert unter verschiedenen Flurbezeichungen erwähnt, die sich teils auf den gesamten heutigen Straßenzug, teils auf größere Abschnitte am Glacisrand bezogen (Heumarkt). Ab etwa 1830 ist die Bezeichnung „Am Glacis" anzutreffen. Die dem Glacis (seit 1862 dem Stadtpark) zugewendete repräsentative Häuserfront der Vorstadt Landstraße ist historisch gewachsen; im Vormärz wurde die Vorstadtgrenze in Richtung Wienfluss vorgeschoben (deutlicher als hier zwischen Invalidenstraße und Vordere Zollamtsstraße erkennbar). 1862 wird der Straßenzug Am Heumarkt benannt. Veränderungen ergaben sich durch die Einbeziehung des Straßenstücks bis zur Kleinen Ungarbrücke (20. Februar 1952 Gemeinderatsausschuss für Kultur) beziehungsweise durch eine Verkürzung des Straßenzugs, der seit 9. Oktober 1986 (Gemeinderatsausschuss für Kultur) bei der Großen Ungarbrücke endet; die Fortsetzung bis zur Kleinen Ungarbrücke sowie die Vordere Zollamtsstraße zwischen dieser und der Landstraßer Hauptstraße heißt seither Am Stadtpark. Ab der Marokkanergasse ist der Heumarkt dem Schwarzenbergviertel zuzuordnen (ehemalige Heumarktkaserne, erbaut 1774, neu erbaut 1841, abgebrochen 1909/1910). Gebäude: Eine der ältesten städtebaulichen Einheiten der Vorstadt Landstraße mit repräsentativer Schaufront zum ehemaligen Glacis (heute Stadtpark). Nummer 1-9 stammen aus dem Vormärz; Nummer 7-13 reichen in die Beatrixgasse.

So I was finally able to upload a photo from the softball game that I went to yesterday.
--This is Tristyn, she is one of the best batters on the team, and a heck of a runner. The girls ended up winning both of their games against the opposing team. The first game 9-0, and the second 9-1.

Actually from day #3 in London, when we were walking around the market up North/East. Ran into this Lomography shop, which was fascinating! We left our Holgas at home, thinking, why/when would we ever, blah, blah and bam! We should've left home something else. Danbob would lose his mind, we thought. Check it.
