I met this guy while taking some other pictures of soem machinary. he asked me to take his picture so I did. We talked for a little bit and he told me he was the 2nd tennor in a singing group and the 1st and 3rd tennors had died. He was the last living tennor from his group and he sang a song in the middle of the street at 8 in the morning.

We popped to town today to sort out stuff at the bank, have lunch, buy a few bits n all that jazz. It turns out that all weekend there is a collection of Canterbury's buskers performing to raise money in memory of Taigh, a busker who died a year ago. There was a great vibe in the area and there was a tribute CD on sale. The money raised is being split between gorilla conservation and in forming a trust fund for Taigh's 8 year old daughter, so that she has some money from her dad when she grows up. The thought and kindness of people to do that brought a tear to my eye.
