Winmore Keeling. 57 years old. Walking home in the pouring rain. He has spent his entire life dedicated to the medical arts, specifically to becoming an optician. He was a master of his craft and the top of his field. However, he was currently at a bump in the road. The university at which he was presently teaching and developing ideas had refused his proposed future technology for the 4th time. Winmore was angry and disappointed, so much so he was designing the equipment in the basement of his own home, and he was definitely no major tech designer. However, he was determined to succeed. 7 months later and he had his first prototype ready to be tested. If it worked, Keeling even had a company name planned out; Iris Vision. The premise of these glasses was to reflect the colour spectrum into the wearer's retinas and a permanent contact lense would flip the image and transmit it to the cornea, then the brain. However, at the moment the glasses needed a large amount of energy to power. If it worked though, it would supposedly provide 20/20 vision to anyone, even those that has gone partially blind.
First prototype test; 6.57pm
Not wanting to potentially go blind in both eyes, Keeling opted to use a monocle for the first test. To begin with, he attached the permanent contact lense to his . “There is no going back now” he says jokingly, but it was the truth. He was feeling very emotional at this point, as he felt like this could be the breakthrough of his career and almost as if his entire life had been leading up to this point. Next he set-up the monocle and power supply, but as soon as he turned on the power supply, the colour spectrum injected into his eye, through his retina into the cornea and then the brain. All the emotions he had been feeling recently like; Fear, Confidence, Hope, Wisdom, Evil and more. They were all flowing through him simultaneously. After several seconds of searing pain, it ended. He was no longer Winmore Keeling. He had become… The Rainbow Man.

I had all kind of good and bad stories with Canon, but i must say i love my 85mm f1.2. The automatic focus is just to slow, but the bokeh is butter smooth, or should i say like a babie's bottom ;-)
shot a f1.2, 1/125 sec, ISO 500
Strobist info, 2 speedlights with see-thru diffusion umbrellas. manual setting,

i am grateful for my creativity. I have always loved to create things ~ even as a little girl I learned to crochet from my older neighbor lady. I love to make homemade gifts and cards. I get my best creative ideas in the middle of the night and if I don't have a pad and pencil by the bed I will get up and write them down. Creating and being creative is very relaxing and uplifting to me.
these are some vintage photo paints I found at an antique shop. They were never opened....i may have to be the first to try them out.
M4H theme Imperfection - I am spending January practising use of my edge 80 lensbaby optic and controlling the level of blur. I am finding this very difficult and am getting few keepers!!
I was thinking I would like to start a 365 days project but my photos aren't too good to one. but I have to stop my self to not upload photos everyday ... so I dont know. maybe it is wrong to upload photos everyday or 2 in one same day. I dont know. I don't mind anymore about not have a pro account. I dont want to have a pro account until I buy a nice, beautiful, black and huge camera! hahahaha. I like this photo just because I like it . OK? it is from the same shot of the magic photos. what should I do?
Exuvia from 2 southern hawker dragonflies which emerged last night (and I missed it !). There are lots of suitable stems to climb in our little garden pond but these two had to make it competitive.
You are all so very kind with your comments and favs. These pics don't do well in competition. It needs the audience of the Flickr groups to help encourage this type of photography. Many thanks.
2 Projects
Word: Untethered
So today I took this photo of Phoenix in my office- As I know I've mentioned before, Phoenix loves everything music. Phoenix likes to play on my guitar while I'm listening to Pandora. She looked so super cute, I couldn't resist. I love to watch her listen. I love to watch her get in to it. When I watch her dance, watch her play, watch her sing, she's completely free. It's beatiful. My friend Otillie has helped start a picture project here on Flickr called 2 photo projects . Each month two words are given, and you have to come up with images for the words. One of the words for January is Untethered, which is not tied down by anything. This photo to me is all about this word. Children, are untethered. Their little lives are all about exploring, learning, and being free little birds.

A scene from my most favourite PC game ever: Halo 2. When I first played this level called 'Helljumpers' I was seriously on the edge of my seat. So nostalgic, and such a beautiful game. Good old times.

Dragonfly 2.0
Designed and folded by me ( Bodo Haag )
folded from one uncut square.
Bananafiber paper ( 52x52 cm )
This model is the revised version of my old dragonfly. Now, the design is more effective, has a better head , shorter neck, legs with different lengths and it has a segmented abdomen. The design is still based on 22.5 degree angles.
The wings and eyes have a color change, but I folded the model from a single colored paper.
#2 - Dick Leith's International logging truck.
