Talsarnau or Talsamau is a village and community in the Ardudwy area of Gwynedd in Wales. Its population was 525 in 2001, and had increased to 550 at the 2011 Census. The village of Talsarnau is situated on the A496 coastal road between Maentwrog and Harlech, close to the hamlets of Eisingrug and Llandecwyn.
15th June 2017 - On May 19 the French Groupe de Chasse 1/2 Cigognes, based at Dijon-Longvic AFB (BA102), unveiled a special painted Mirage 2000 to celebrate the centenary of the disappearance of Georges Guynemer, one of the most glorious aces of French hunting.
Georges Guynemer was a top fighter ace for France with 54 victories during World War I, and a French national hero at the time of his death. Guynemer failed to return from a combat mission on 11 September 1917. He took off aboard of his Spad XIII with rookie pilot Jean Bozon-Verduraz to patrol the Langemark area. During the mission, near Poelkapelle, Guynemer sighted a lone Rumpler, a German observation plane, and dove toward it. Bozon-Verduraz saw several Fokkers above him, and by the time he had shaken them off, his leader was nowhere in sight, so he returned alone. Guynemer never came back.
Captain Georges Guynemer was confirmed missing in action by his squadron commander Major Brocard; it was officially announced in Paris by the French War Department on 25 September 1917.

Already 2 months old, such a good smiler. She got shots yesterday but still in a good mood today. I had her asleep like this and she woke up and stayed for about 5 minutes! Just gave me smile after smile, I just LOVE her to pieces!
Warnemünde maritim 2 – als 2. Großsegler lief am 10.08.2022 das Segelschulschiff der Deutschen Marine, die „GORCH FOCK“ in Warnemünde ein und machte an der Mittelmole fest.
Die 89 Meter lange „GORCH FOCK“ wurde bei Blohm & Voss in Hamburg gebaut und 1958 als Segelschulschiff der Deutschen Marine in Dienst gestellt. Das Schiff ist als Bark getakelt und hat drei Masten. Zur Besatzung gehören insgesamt 222 Personen (Stammbesatzung und Kadetten bzw. Offiziersanwärter). Das Schiff ist baugleich mit dem Vorgängerschiff gleichen Namens, welches in Stralsund als Museumsschiff zu besichtigen ist. Allerdings ist die aktuelle „GORCH FOCK“ 7 Meter länger.
Von 2015 – 2021 wurde das Schiff grundlegend instandgesetzt. Ursprünglich waren dafür 10 Millionen Euro veranschlagt – aus denen dann 135 Millionen Euro wurden. Damit ist die „GORCH FOCK“ mit das teuerste Schiff der Deutschen Marine.
Viele Leute in meinem Umfeld an der Ostmole waren verwundert, dass das Schiff ohne Namen am Rumpf fuhr. Laut aktueller Untersuchungen ist der Name wohl nicht unumstritten - seine Bücher sollen nationalistische und antisemitische Spuren zeigen. Ob es da eventuelle Ursachen gibt, weiß ich nicht. Spekuliert wurde in jedem Fall viel.

Took a series of these little forget me not flowers... this is #2. I laugh a little when I see this one, cuz I was shooting these macro shots in 25 mile an hour winds and these flowers were all over the place.... I just shot fast to stop the movement of the flowers,
