With only two days before closure a couple of Derby 1958 built class 108 dmu's grace Manchester Central station, which was built by the Cheshire Lines Committiee, opening on the 1st July 1880 and closing on 5th May 1969, a number of BMC/Leyland FG delivery vans compliment the scene.
Manchester Central has since been converted into an exhibition and conference centre, opening as G-MEX in 1986 and now has been renamed Manchester Central again.
On 27 March 2020 the government announced that Manchester Central would be converted into an emergency hospital with 1000 beds, to deal with the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic, it is expected to open in mid-April.

Water balloon pop with sunglasses. I like the bowtie!
Setup / strobist;
- Water balloon suspended in front of a black background material.
- A home built popping rig is hidden behind the background material.
- The rig fires a pin into the balloon and triggers the flashes using a Quaketronics flash trigger.
- Two SB-800 flashes are used; one at 1:30 and one at 9 o'clock. Both are set to 1/8th power.
- Glasses were set on the ballon before popping.
- Some touch up in Picasa including light levels and tint color. I had to remove one piece of errant balloon remnant near the glasses.

-The more of the scavengers we fought off, the more would come to kill us. Eventually we made our way back to the main gate, which was blocked by crumbled rock, Amy got to work moving the rock while Leo fought off the remaining scavengers and I constructed an explosive from items I found inside one of the rooms. Amy finished moving the rubble and we ran out the gate, not before I threw the explosive behind us as we ran.-Jacob-
