African Shoebill: A huge, prehistoric-looking bird, much sought-after by birdwatchers from across the globe. Named due to its shoe-shaped bill, it wanders through remote wetlands looking for eels and mudfish. It will sometimes have 2 chicks but will allow one to die once the other has proven to be strong and healthy.
