Chinese YJ class 2-6-2 YJ137 was a regular for many years shunting the docks at Dalian.
I made a vain attempt to talk my way into the docks to see more of the rail operations, and was fortunate a bridge overlooking the tracks was adjacent to the gatehouse and I managed to grab this shot.

The girls have decided to find a picnic site that is tucked away on an island. There are many waterways they must follow to find their destination.

The head of a fly. It was made with a compound microscope. I used about 100 images in the focus stack.
my first oliver + s pattern! i'm excited!
i have been admiring this one for a long time and found the same fabric locally. i used a woodgrain fabric for the neckband. it still needs its buttons/buttonholes.
it's still snowing outside, so we decided to stay indoors and shoot in the living room. he had been sleeping after our cold walk, but was woken up to pose for the camera. '~' well... at least he could still stay on his warm duvet!

Today was time I got my project moving again. I had been into my local town to post my trusty a100 which had been sold and I was carrying the replacement which I am still learning how to get the best out of. Pop of built in flash.
I found a nice location and waited, and waited and nobody caught my eye as a suitable candidate., it was early and not many people about.
I had already missed one guy I had seen with an amazing beard as I had not really had the time to approach him, so when I saw Cindy I thought go for it (dont forget I'm still only on #2). Cindy had her headphones on and once I caught her up and explained the project she was happy to be part of it.
Cindy is in college studying Law and hopes to eventually have a career in that field. Thanks for being part of my group, and good luck with your studies.
Not as sharp as I would have liked, but the lens was wide open, tamron 17-50 f2.8 I think I'll close it down a little next time.

Concerning a payment method I can't propose the unambiguous solution, unfortunately. I suggest to discuss this question also in FlickrMail.

crappy pic is crappy...
We have a new dog in the house. Kasba (the one on the left) joined our home in februari. I wanted to introduce him to y'all in one of Indi's shots. But since the weather is so terrible the last weeks... I decided to go with a nice shot of Indi's first impression... or should I say her expression!! LOL.
I've been very busy with Kasba's integration in our home, and left the photography challenges to rest... but as the spring is coming, I'm getting my inspiration back, will have to act on that soon.

I love that I have fallen back in love with Tempe.
I lived here for years and years. While attending ASU and even for years afterwards. But I always thought Tempe was so old and rundown.
Now I think it is beautiful and old. It has character.
I had been to Papago park a million times, but it wasn't until a few weeks ago that I noticed this little pier. I think it's beautiful. It's pretty narrow, but it has such a beautiful view of the park and Papago Mountain and Hole-in-the-Rock.
I was in between photo sessions here. I had 3. I do absolutely love doing photography. I love meeting all the new people. I honestly leave each session feeling like I met new friends. And it's pretty strange because I am normally so introverted and socially awkward that I absolutely dread meeting new people, yet when I talk to these strangers, I seem to chat away.
Still trying to figure out manual mode. I had to take this picture 3 times because it was overexposed each time.
Then in Photoshop, I changed it to sepia and decreased the saturation. Then I went in and erased the sepia from my toenails to make the red stand out.
