We have a new dog in the house. Kasba (the one on the left) joined our home in februari. I wanted to introduce him to y'all in one of Indi's shots. But since the weather is so terrible the last weeks... I decided to go with a nice shot of Indi's first impression... or should I say her expression!! LOL.
I've been very busy with Kasba's integration in our home, and left the photography challenges to rest... but as the spring is coming, I'm getting my inspiration back, will have to act on that soon.

I love that I have fallen back in love with Tempe.
I lived here for years and years. While attending ASU and even for years afterwards. But I always thought Tempe was so old and rundown.
Now I think it is beautiful and old. It has character.
I had been to Papago park a million times, but it wasn't until a few weeks ago that I noticed this little pier. I think it's beautiful. It's pretty narrow, but it has such a beautiful view of the park and Papago Mountain and Hole-in-the-Rock.
I was in between photo sessions here. I had 3. I do absolutely love doing photography. I love meeting all the new people. I honestly leave each session feeling like I met new friends. And it's pretty strange because I am normally so introverted and socially awkward that I absolutely dread meeting new people, yet when I talk to these strangers, I seem to chat away.
Still trying to figure out manual mode. I had to take this picture 3 times because it was overexposed each time.
Then in Photoshop, I changed it to sepia and decreased the saturation. Then I went in and erased the sepia from my toenails to make the red stand out.
The Netherlands-Makkum
Makkum is a village on the banks of the lake IJsselmeer in the province Friesland. It has a population of around 3,500. The rich history of the village is still very visible. The village has a town-like structure dating from the 17th century. At the lock are historic merchant houses. For Makkum prosperity really started in the 17th century and lasted until the 18th century. Makkum became an important center of trade and industry, including brick works, wind-powered saw-, oil-, paper-, and pealing mills, ship yards and seashell lime kilns. The lime kiln industry was the major pillar of Makkums prosperity employing many people. Transport of base materials and end products by ship caused shipping and ship construction to flourish. The pottery Royal Tichelaar Makkum is one of the oldest companies of the Netherlands. Seashell fishing was of importance next to common miseries. Lately tourism has developed strongly in Makkum from the attraction of water sports. The current (Feadship’s) yard (of a gigantic scale) does not fit in the historical villageview of Makkum and is therefore not or barely visible on these images, made with kite and camera (attached to the kite's line). © Tom Kisjes
My body turns to a boil. Sweat starts to pump from every gland across my body. My stomach turns upside-down as I rip away my respirator from my face. I bend down and spray brown bubbly half-digested vomit across the street. I stand back up and everything starts to turn to a yellow blur. Why’s everything going da-?

Fast but solid tank. As you can see, you can put two minifigs into it with accessories (e.g. Atlantis diver can be putted with their helmets).
To see more sophisticated pictures go to my Brickshelf gallery.
See the previous version.
BTW I forgot to inform you that canon really works!
The LEGO Adventure Book, Vol. 2! My copy finally landed in my mailbox this week, and as you can see, my minifigs were pretty excited to find themselves in a book.
More pictures of my contributions to the book can be found in the Service with a Smile photoset.
Oh, and the book can, incidentally, be pre-ordered here - it's apparently released to the general public on Monday! I've had a good read through it, and I have to say that there are some pretty great models featured in it, from some rather well-known builders. It's an honour to be featured in the same book as these people!

Ten things about 10 stopper
2) Types of Filter systems:
a1)Screw-in (fixed) stop (eg. B+W #110 ND 3.0,Hoya NDx400 )
a2)Screw-in (varying) stops (eg. H&Y ND2-ND400,LCW Fader)
-These are circular integrated filters with a mounting ring that screws into the front thread of a lens.
b)Slide-in 10 stop (eg. Lee's Big Stopper,Hitech Pro Stop)
-These are square or quadrangular filters that slides in a slot of a special filter holder which is then screwed to lens by threaded adapter ring in front of a lens
::::COMPARISON::::
Investment
Screw In (fixed) : Separate filters per different diameters of lenses,a little more expensive in long run.
Screw In (Varying) : Separate filters per different diameters of lenses, will cost extra.
Edit (22-03-12): Adaptor rings for screw-in filters are available too,the only limitation is filter diameter has to be >= the diameter of the lens otherwise vignetting will be noticed.
Slide In : Same filter can be used with different lenses with the help of different adapter rings, comparatively cheaper in long run.
Ease in composing with black glass
Screw In (fixed) : Shot has to be pre-composed before applying the filter
Screw In (Varying) : Shot can be composed at the lowest density and then switched to maximum density
Slide In : Being a dark glass shot has to be pre-composed before sliding the filter
Portability/Storage space
Screw In (fixed) : More convenient to carry/relatively occupies less space
Screw In (Varying) : More convenient to carry/relatively occupies less space
Slide In : Delicate glass, care has to be taken/occupies more space(Filter holder Kit)
Use of Lens Hood
Screw In (fixed) : Allow for use of the original lens hood
Screw In (Varying) : Yes can be used but to change the density hood has to be removed every time.
Slide In : No,require special modular or Pro hoods
Vignetting
Screw In (fixed) : May introduce at wide angle
Screw In (Varying) : May introduce at wide angle
Slide In : Easier to avoid if a large holder model is chosen
Ease with Usage
Screw In (fixed) : Easy to use
Screw In (Varying) : Easy to use
Slide In : Comparatively easier and gives added advantage of selective usage i.e. with rotating ring and slidable slot, parts of the scene can be exposed at choice.

EXPLORED
Another 2+2 tunic (sewn in between late night work assignments, LoL) using a gorgeous little red riding hood fabric from Tasha www.etsy.com/shop/alittlesweetness
This pattern is bound to become a staple in M's closet, because it's pretty easy to sew and wear (even with the front straps, that I do find quite adorable) almost all-year round (just add a cardigan and it’s perfect for our mild climate).
So a lot of progress has been made with my WIP. I've added a whole torso and arms, but I haven't got round to making a decent head. More pics soon!
Also, Ballom, I'll post a feet "How-To" later!

2 Ways
A poem by Peter S. Quinn
These towers of 2 ways
Side by side in gray and light
As day to day on plays
From colors of sunshine bright
As feeling and touching way
The gray blue steel of time
Clearance for comings of day
Inside their dwellings prime
These towers of high and grace
As wall of time goes on
The structures around to embrace
Till moments of those are gone
Like flowers in gardens’ glow
These seeds of time to give
Until to be forgotten slow
In other times to live
These walls to wall man made
In strong steel so fine
To reach highest peak and debate
To glow in tomorrow’s shine
Each wall in windows and steel
Looking with modern eyes
As a day of future comes real
In reaching the open skies
Zucco is definitely here. I rappeled up the building and landed lightly on the rooftops overlooking Treachor Road. The thick smoke from the factories all around me wafted up drowsily and blocked most of my view.
Zucco was supposed to be meeting a man here, Warren White. From what I can tell, it's about protection while he's here. Zucco's not planning on being here for long though. One of White's men was... Helpful.. In revealing this to me. Didn't know much else though. White hasn't showed from what I can see. And I can't see much. This smog is getting in the way of everything. I rappel down the building, trying to stay as silent as possible. I'd rather not alert Zucco to my presence if I have t-
Wait a minute. He's gone. Shit.
I drop down for a closer look. Thud.
BAM!
ARGH!
Can't see. Spinning. Sliding. Kicking up mud.
Come now, Nightwing. I can't believe it was this easy. You have such a... Reputation.
Better appease my -hurk- loyal fan base!

Damn. He's fast. I've never seen this guy before.
If you were wondering, of course, Nightwing, my name is Hooligan. Don't wear it out, of course.
I'll try not to, hoodlum.
And next time, wear something that can help you in the event of ...
