Szameitkehmen (lit. Zemaitkiemiai) liegt nördlich von Heydekrug und gehörte früher zur Gemeinde Mestellen.

Im Jahre 1888 engagierte sich der Rittergutbesitzer Heinrich Hahn-Lapienen dafür, dass für Mestellen/Szameitkehmen ein Bahnhof gebaut wurde.

Der Haltepunkt beim Dorf ist geschlossen, das kleine Bahnhofsgebäude ist noch vorhanden.

Es gibt ein weiteres Szameitkehmen bei Mädewald im Kreis Pogegen (keine Bahnstation).
