The last beautiful breath of summer. I stood around this spot for 20 minutes trying to find the perfect angle to make the most of my last shot on the roll. I love that.

La Playa de Zurriola es una de las tres playas de la ciudad de San Sebastián (España). Está situada entre la desembocadura del río Urumea y el monte Ulía, y tiene una longitud aproximada de 800 metros.
En 1994 se llevaron a cabo unas obras de reforma de la playa, anteriormente prácticamente inutilizable dada la virulencia de las aguas. Gracias a dichas reformas, que incluyeron la construcción de un espigón, la playa aumentó su longitud, sus aguas se hicieron aptas para el baño y su uso se multiplicó.
Frente al perfil elegante y tranquilo de las playas de Ondarreta y La Concha, la playa de Zurriola se ha consolidado como una playa de perfil más joven y apropiada para la práctica del surfismo (se trata de la playa más abierta y con más fuerte oleaje de la ciudad) y como escenario de algunos conciertos del Festival de Jazz de San Sebastián y de competiciones de Bodyboarding, surf, skateboarding y eventos similares.
The Zurriola Beach is one of the three beaches in the city of San Sebastián (Spain). It is located between the mouth of the Urumea River and Mount Ulía, and it has an approximate length of 800 meters.
In 1994, some works were carried out to reform the beach, which was previously practically unusable given the virulence of the waters. Thanks to these reforms, which included the construction of a jetty, the beach increased its length, its waters became suitable for bathing and its use multiplied.
Facing the elegant and tranquil profile of the beaches of Ondarreta and La Concha, Zurriola beach has established itself as a beach with a younger profile and suitable for surfing (it is the most open beach with the strongest waves in the the city) and as a stage for some concerts of the San Sebastian Jazz Festival and competitions of Bodyboarding, surfing, skateboarding and similar events.

Construido por la Orden de los Hospitalarios de San Juan de Acre en el siglo XII. Los restos de su claustro, es el mejor "manifiesto orientalizante" del románico soriano También hay trazas de los caballeros cruzados en los dos templetes cubiertos por cúpulas persas del interior de la iglesia, aquí representados, con la fantasía en la piedra de los capiteles.

'El Abrazo - Besarkada' (Iñigo Arístegui, 2020), San Sebastian, Guipúzcoa, País vasco, España.
La obra se instaló en la plaza Ramón Labayen, junto al río y los jardines de Santa Catalina, como parte de la iluminación navideña de 2020. Se creó y expuso como homenaje a las víctimas de la pandemia y al personal sanitario y de servicios esenciales que lucharon en primera línea contra el coronavirus. La propuesta artística, de 800 kilos de hierro y siete metros de altura, representa las figuras de un hombre y una mujer, envueltas por tiras de led, que se funden en un abrazo, jugando con la perspectiva del viandante.
The work was installed in the Ramón Labayen square, next to the river and the Santa Catalina gardens, as part of the 2020 Christmas lighting. It was created and displayed as a tribute to the victims of the pandemic and to the health and essential service personnel who fought on the front line against the coronavirus. The artistic proposal, weighing 800 kilos of iron and seven metres high, represents the figures of a man and a woman, wrapped in LED strips, who merge in an embrace, playing with the perspective of the passer-by.

The place and the concept I've picked for the project will be a side street in downtown Moscow (which is not as long as its Russian name – Bolshoi Spasoglinishevskiy pereulok). The reason I’ve picked this place is because right now it looks a complete mess because of numerous construction works.
So my idea for this project is to make something out of this mess. Take odd and scattered pieces and combine them in a picture that would make sense or at least would be pleasant to look at.

Portovenere. The Doria Castle and the underlying cemetery.

The Doria Castle is a fortress located on the rocky hill overlooking the seaside village of Portovenere, in the province of La Spezia. Considered one of the most majestic military architectures of the Republic of Genoa in the Ligurian Levant.
The date of construction of the first fortified building is unknown. The only data available and received by historians date back to 1139 when the Republic of Genoa acquired control of the village of Portovenere, thus defending itself to the east from the rival Republic of Pisa.
In 1161 the castle was rebuilt in a more dominant area than the pre-existing one.
In the 13th century the fortress was at the center of the struggles between Genoa and Pisa for the dominion over the surrounding lands; around the middle of the century both the castle and the seaside village of Porto Venere were part of the vast fiefdom in the Ligurian Levant of Nicolò Fieschi and will return to be the domain of the Genoese Republic starting from 1276.
During the Napoleonic domination of the Ligurian Republic, at the beginning of the 19th century the building will be used as a prison, however without altering its architectural forms.
Today the ancient Genoese fortress is owned by the Municipality of Portovenere and, after careful restoration work in the 1970s, is home to art exhibitions in various events that take place throughout the year.
From the castle a surrounding wall with loopholes, a walkway and towers descends to include the village of Portovenere.

My main interest is in the people who pass through the exhibition space and in how they interact with the exhibited objects. This has two main aspects - how they more or less consciously engage with the exhibits but also how their appearance (posture, clothing, hair...) might be related to aspects of the objects around them. So what I'm after is the ephemeral and unrepeatable conjunction of spectator and exhibit.
VIA 24 with VIA 911 and a HEP/LRC consist is passing CN 4795 on the CN East Side Canal Bank Spur. The Pointe St-Charles is about to accept a Slow to Stop signal and temporarily enter the main line for headroom, before backing on to the Spur.
