Portovenere. Isola del Tinetto.
Dal 1997 l'isola del Tinetto, insieme alle altre isole Palmaria e Tino, Porto Venere e le Cinque Terre è stata inserita tra i Patrimoni dell'umanità dell'UNESCO.
Pochi metri a sud dell'isolotto, sulla sommità di uno scoglio semisommerso, un tempo incubo dei diportisti, è stata installata una statua di Stella Maris alta circa due metri.

Since 1997, the island of Tinetto, together with the other islands of Palmaria and Tino, Porto Venere and the Cinque Terre, has been included among the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
A few meters south of the islet, on the top of a semi-submerged rock, once a nightmare for yachtsmen, a statue of Stella Maris about two meters high has been installed.

Amtrak's "Day One" commemoration unit 301 heads up the east/southbound "Floridian" at Bardane, West Virginia on December 6, 2024. Looks like the train had encountered some wintry weather to the west, judging by the nose of the lead locomotive.

Found this old warrior at the Wings Over the Rockies Air Museum. NIJA64 is a Lear-24 first flown by the military as a test bed. I flew it in 1999-2000 for air ambulance. Now it is a static display at the museum.
gratitudes :: for the yellow leaves here and there, for the grace that comes with monday, for realizing i can't do it all, and for neighborhood walks in our small town.
