This was just a pretty dark 'must get a 365 shot' shot to start with, but I processed the life out of it. Naturally.
Today the sky looked quite awesome and I took some pics of it for my diptych. I like this pink/blue combination.
Luxor, Egypt.
"The Luxor Temple is a large Ancient Egyptian temple complex located on the east bank of the Nile River in the city today known as Luxor (ancient Thebes) and was constructed approximately 1400 BC. It was one of the two primary temples on the east bank, the other being Karnak. Unlike the other temples in Thebes, Luxor temple is not dedicated to a cult god or a deified version of the pharaoh in death. Instead, Luxor temple is dedicated to the rejuvenation of kingship; it may have been where many of the pharaohs of Egypt were crowned in reality or conceptually (as in the case of Alexander the Great, who claimed he was crowned at Luxor but may never have traveled south of Memphis, near modern Cairo).
To the rear of the temple are chapels built by Amenhotep III of the 18th Dynasty, and Alexander. Other parts of the temple were built by Tutankhamun and Ramesses II. During the Roman era, the temple and its surroundings were a legionary fortress and the home of the Roman government in the area. During the Roman period a chapel inside the Luxor Temple originally dedicated to the goddess Mut was transformed into a Tetrarchy cult chapel and later into a church." Today a mosque built into the temple still survives as active."
Epcot, originally EPCOT Center, is a theme park at the Walt Disney World Resort . Inspired by an unrealized concept developed by Walt Disney, the park opened on October 1, 1982, and is the second of four theme parks built at Walt Disney World, after Magic Kingdom. Spanning 300 acres (120 ha), more than twice the size of the Magic Kingdom park Epcot is dedicated to the celebration of human achievement, namely technological innovation and international culture, and is often referred to as a "permanent World's Fair". The park is divided into two sections: Future World, made up eight pavilions, and World Showcase, themed to eleven world nations.
In 2015, the park hosted approximately 11.98 million guests, ranking it the third most visited theme park in North America and the sixth most visited theme park in the world. The park is represented by Spaceship Earth, a geodesic sphere that also serves as an attraction. Epcot was known as EPCOT Center until 1994, when it was later renamed Epcot '94, then Epcot '95, now commonly known simply as Epcot.
