Clearwater Beach: Had attended a company conference in Clearwater Beach, FL in June.
The beach and the water is perfect out there. What a way to spend the week :)
Koersbord van de Amsterdamse tramlijn 24, die vanaf 1929 ging rijden. De tekst 'Centraalstation' kwam in 1940 in plaats van 'Stationsplein'. Verder veranderde er - behalve het lettertype - niets tot 1967, het laatste jaar waarin dit soort koersborden op trams van lijn 24 werd gebruikt.
Op de keerzijde van dit soort borden stonden dezelfde straatnamen in omgekeerde volgorde. De borden waren bevestigd in een tuimelraam dat om zijn horizontale as kon draaien en vanaf het balkon werd bediend via een kruk met haakse tandwieloverbrenging.
Deze generatie borden werd in de Centrale Werkplaatsen aan de Tollensstraat beletterd volgens het zeefdrukprocedé, waarbij de verf wordt geperst door een fijn gaas, beplakt met papier waar de letters zijn uitgesneden. Dat werkte een stuk sneller dan de oude praktijk van handmatig letterschilderen, en het was goedkoper dan het bestellen van geëmailleerde borden bij de wagonfabriek, wat in den beginne ook wel gebeurde

This kind of destination boards, painted in the appropriate route colors, was mounted on the roof of nearly all pre-war trams until their demise in the second half of the 1960s. The back side showed the same streets in reverse order. At the termini, the tram crew turned the frame in which the board was mounted by a handle at the platform ceiling
It was a strange feeling of having left the current reality and having wandered into another time and place....

the cache is hidden with great effort on a forlorn railroad track, under a water sewer, sealed with a metal bar and a number padlock.

This pond is squishy and mucky and smells, but Olivia is perfect with her faint freckles and dark hair.
I actually had to get in with Olivia and it was not the most beautiful experience, but what can I say? I made this image that I love and that's payment enough.
Olivia may never speak to me again, but I did give her a doughnut.

It’s amazing to me that Beatlemania is still a thing 60 years after Sgt. Pepper Taught the Band to Play. Of course, I was here too, just as much of a maniac as I was back then, and just as much as these folk, who I think were part of a tour group. This was my first trip to Liverpool. What a buzz! I have often seen pics of people taking pics of this statue of the Fab Four, and dismissively thought ‘Why bother? It’s not as if it’s the real Beatles or anything…”. But here I was, quite happily engaging in exactly the same activity! Under the guise of "Social Documentary” of course…[ahem].
