On the way back home we stopped shortly in Wroclaw where there was so much rain that we decided quickly to continue to Görlitz, which is on the Polish-German border. A small town with two tram lines, only on the German side of the Neisse river. 14 Tatra KT4D-C are in operation, sometimes in pairs. Line and destination are not by LED, today this is quite rare. Not to be left behind in the previous century though, the trams are fitted with LED light below the usual round headlights….

A solitary enthusiast watches as Virgin 47851 (D1648) pauses at Kensington Olympia with the penultimate loco hauled Cross Country service from Brighton - 23/11/2001.
Working was 1S76 09:20 Brighton to Edinburgh Waverley (via Kensington Olympia, Didcot, Oxford, Birmingham, Crewe, Manchester Piccadilly, Bolton, Preston, Carlisle, Lockerbie & Haymarket).

66791 leaves Ashchurch Sidings from the Ashchurch MOD Depot at 13.32 on Sunday the 13th August 2023 working 6Z35, the 14.21 Ashchurch MOD GBRf to Marchwood MOD GBRf with a long rake of containers which had been stored at the Depot. The end of the rake is still coming out of the siding. It was running 49 minutes early leaving the siding and an unknown time exiting the actual MOD Depot to the siding. It is thought this train is one of many out of Ashchurch in the next few weeks?
Lors de la soirée du samedi 18 février, ce sont les grues qui ont permis aux visiteurs, nous compris, de patienter jusqu’à la nuit noire. Elles nous ont offert un ballet impressionnant, allant et venant à basse altitude, tout en poussant leurs « grougrous » typiques de leur espèce. Elles devaient chercher un endroit où se poser pour la nuit mais notre présence a dû les troubler. Les volatiles ont fini par partir plus loin chercher un site pour tranquille.
