This image shows the centre of the globular cluster Messier 22, also known as M22, as observed by the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope. Globular clusters are spherical collections of densely packed stars, relics of the early years of the Universe, with ages of typically 12 to 13 billion years. This is very old considering that the Universe is only 13.8 billion years old.

This is stranger 22 in my project and was taken in the Brick Lane area last Saturday. Magnus is a Swedish guy who has been working here for 1 and a half years and lives in Hyde Park. He was spending the weekend with Frida (my stranger 23) who was just down for the weekend.
Overall, I feel the portrait could have been better and wasn't going to put it up. But in the spirit of it being a learning group I have decided that I should post it.
For some reason I have focused on his furthest eye rather than the closest and I am not sure why I did that. It also may have been a good idea to either get him to remove his cap or using some fill flash as an alternative shot.
I wanted to take a picture of him with his tattoos showing but was struggling to get him and his arm in the frame as my lens was 50mm (75mm equivalent) and I was running out of space. I got one which I will show in the comments but it turned to be a bit soft.
Overall, I think I should have taken more time but with the weather being so crappy I was rushing and I think it shows.
Anyway, both Magnus and Frida were great subjects and very patient. Thank you for being a part of my project. Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at the

Out chasing that Finnish rock band in the wet grass. Try saying Psyllobora vigintiduopunctata a few times.
The air show at the Joint Service Open House at Andrews Air Force Base featured the new F-22 Raptor. This is simply an amazing plane.
Here the F-22 has its after-burners on.
Description Hartley Soule stands in front of this Fairchild 22 with a leading edge high lift device installed for flight testing. This was the first of three Fairchild 22s to be used by the NACA at Langley Field, Virginia. This Fairchild 22 showed no aircraft number in the NACA shield on the rudder, although as the NACA fleet expanded, the number appearance became a requirement.

For The Menagerie - Theme 1: Beautiful Losers
Was a flicker, light
Rushed fast and pressed
Wings seemed hurried, churned
Breasts were heavy
Arms did cradle, empty
Thoughts spastic
Ideas made, answered
Realism sets in
Hand over stomach, full
Early morning cocktail
Holding hands, tight
Juice and crackers ate
Tears soothed, late
Empty beds did make
Strained emotions, tossed
Memories all but lost
