one day on the beach and I started picking up seashells to be used for jewelry... guess it's time to dig out the old hobby supplies and start making something with them.

Day 21 of #AllanAugust with Minty, my trickster Allan. I really love the combination of this mint green with pastel pink hair so I’ve been wanting an Allan in this combination for a long time.
I also handmade all of his clothes asides from his shoes cuz I had a particular vision in mind for him.
May 21, 2018: An EMD slug set pulls local CSX freight train A700 (Cartersville, GA-Cedartown, GA + Return) back North on the West side of Cartersville, GA on the CSX Cartersville Subdivision after working some businesses along the line.

For day 21 I took a photo of Spiderman keeping an eye out for mishapps.
Really really happy with this shot.
21-shot 12 gauge quad chamber semi-automatic shotgun.
Archwell Defense variant.
The end result of the amalgamation of multiple failed designs such as the SG-3/7, AMBAS-12, and the SA-1220. As the name indicates, it is a quadruple chamber shotgun with a massive capacity of 21 shells - 20 in the chambers, and one loaded in the gun.
The QCS-21's appeal is its methods of reloading. There are two methods of reloading: One, is to reload the chamber magazine manually, with the chambers spinning counter clockwise for every shell loaded. Two, and the quicker of the duo, is ejecting the tube magazine and loading a new one, similar in fashion to the Model 1216.
Most of the fancy machinery is hidden in each magazine, which makes magazine production and accessory logistics difficult without the proper resources.
The user can switch to pump-action by pressing a button selector near the pump handle. This allows the gun to chamber more powerful shells at the expense of fire rate.
There is a shortened variant, the QCS-21/S, designed for assault and boarding teams.

May 21, 2018: CSX local freight train A700 (Cartersville, GA-Cedartown, GA, return) creeps it's way to the W&A main line, as it makes it's return trip to Cartersville, GA along the CSX Cartersville Sub with an EMD road slug and GP40-2 providing the juice. This was the 3rd straight day I'd filmed this train, and the conductor was kind enough to pose for me as they rolled by.
Another shot of model Shuky on location in Oxford, this time using a wonderful pair of pilasters in Merton Street as a backdrop.
Still rather out of my comfort zone shooting people but that a good reason to do more of it. If anyone is interested in sparing a couple of hours in return for some images feel free to get in touch. Of course it would be helpful if you were based somewhere in the Oxford area.

Marion Patricia Knott née Cornwell. My mother.
Born Grunty Fen, Little Thetford, Cambridgeshire 27th February 1936. Died Cambridge 30th June 2016.
27th February 1957: my mother on her 21st Birthday. She had been married six months.
Flickr have requested people to take photos of the number 21 ready for their 21st birthday next month. Posting today as it's my twins birthday, they are not yet 21 but getting close!
I tried to think of what I had with the number 21, but so far, I have only come up with my measuring tape. So, I created a Flicr colours sewing notions shot. I used my new macro lights, using a blue filter to create the blue sheen on the measuring tape, the blue highlights on the pink thread, and the blue on the sequin in the background. I also used a pink filter to create the pink on another sequin in the background.
I always appreciate your comments and favourites.
Explored on 9th February 2025 for Flickr birthday Explore Takeover, position 19.

“Quality isn’t what we strive for it’s what we achieve”
Hagar (stranger 21)
“Do you also want to make a photo at side profile? That's fine, I'll just stand there for a while." Hagar said that she is used to posing, her boyfriend also often takes pictures of her. “In any case, he finds you attractive to photograph”. Hagar stood in her stall during Park Day. The bright sunlight was nicely subdued by the back wall of her stall, a colorful whole. She had hidden her beautiful curls under a hat. I was allowed to take a picture and in the beginning it takes some getting used to, who is that strange man? But soon she started posing and we took beautiful pictures. Thank you Hagar.
This is the 21st photo of my 4th round of the 100strangers project. I like doing it, that's why it's already the 4th round.

The first one I've seen this year. Tech Specs: Canon 1D Mark III (F11, 1/250, ISO 100) + a Canon MPE-65mm macro lens (@ 4x) + a diffused MT-24EX. This is a single, uncropped, frame taken hand held.
