Laboe (Museum U995)

Between work and housesitting and other things I have been insanely busy this week. I was hoping to have a different look for this shot but I'm alright with the outcome.

I made a tumbler the other day and I hope to use it for more writing than pictures. Feel free to check it out :) There's not much there yet but I'm working on it!

Yaaaay! I've never done anything like this before, I'm pretty stoked :)

I really have never been attracted to light-painting and similar techniques, but I had half an idea and every reason to take my portrait at 9pm indoors. I wasn't expecting it to produce anything decent, but I really dig this :P The trails of red were from the flash's control lights, and not on purpose. I really was just messing around, and I'm stoked it happened this way!

I'd learned a bit about light painting from Eric Lovato when he came down and guest-taught my photo students at Warehouse 508, and then my buddy Aaron War and I did some stuff very similar to this the other night (I modeled), so I've been exposed (hehe) to it in-person enough to actually play with it a little bit and not take 2 hours to get the settings right.

I'm curious if it will play a bigger roll in my photography O.o
