I got another shout out today! It was in an email about otherwise negative things but my boss forwarded the part about me to me this morning. From the chief of the department, “Alex has been a fantastic addition to our front desk team in pediatrics! She is proactive, asks for help and is always eager to help our families.” 😁
It was POURING this morning and I was dreading my walk so I texted my boss to see if I could get my parking validated just ONCE and she said especially on rainy days they’re strict. But then she offered to come pick me up from the garage which was SUPER sweet. It didn’t end up working out but it was beyond nice of her to offer. Any of my other bosses would have NEVER. Could not have been bothered.
Still feeling weird and honestly it’s been extremely difficult to get myself so take a picture every day. Idk. This funk feels more intense than the others. Not really sure what to do or how to get out of it.

I noticed my next stranger after I had just stepped out of a shop and for moment there I couldn't believe my luck as I was just thinking to myself that it would be nice to find and shoot a well groomed male. Well Eric met that criteria in spades and as I stood there slightly dumbfounded by the coincidence (thank you universe!) my daughter had to remind me to make the approach before he got away.
Once Eric heard the blurb he had no hesitation in being part of the project, but I had to be quick as he was out on a work errand. So under pressure and without the advantage of having a good BG I made do and fired off some quick shots right there as my wife made good, once again, with the reflector.
I was quite taken with Eric’s 1920’s dress style and grooming. His checkered bow-tie, sparkling white shirt, baggy pants with braces and 2 toned shoes all worked perfectly together. Complimenting this look was his impeccable grooming of slicked back hair and a classic waxed moustache. I think the diptych is the most appropriate way to show this off.
When I enquired about his outfit and styling he said that he had dressed like this for “some time” and quite likes it, but it also fitted well with his current job as the Manager of the Bloodwood Restaurant in Newtown.
Eric was an absolute gentleman and thanked me for taking his photo, but really it was me that was the most grateful.

DB 215 017 with a sister engine have taken a train with empty coal hoppers to the EBV-yard in Alsdorf. The engines will move around to the track with the loaded coke train.

March 28, 2015 (21/215)-Spring Saturday Snow Day. I am so over snow! It's SPRING!!! I saw this tree and little bench and it was such a beautiful, relaxing scene. While I was out today I took a minute to capture it while it snowing out. I hoping this will be the LAST snow storm of the season. I'll enjoy the rest of my snow day relaxing at home. Blended Coffee. A new-to-me coffee shop on the north side of Abilene, TX and a totally delicious blended coffee. It's always tricky for me to order such a drink in a new shop...they're too expensive to be disappointed with the taste. This one, however, was great.
