A simple portrait of you speaks volumes. Those sparkly eyes and that beautiful shy smile tell me you haven't lost your imagination or infinite curiosity.
And your features will be slightly different in the months and weeks from today. You have long lost the full baby face you claimed for so many years and in it's place are those cheekbones much like my own. But the freckles. The freckles seem to be here to stay and that makes my heart happy. Those are from daddy and I prayed you would get them.
I thought I would be terrified of the teenage years, but oh Lily. I am so loving getting to know you. You are lovely.
Okay, I need to stop, I know.
Сегодня закончила читать "Любовь во время холеры" Габриэля Гарсии Маркеса. Прекрасная книга, мне будет ее не хватать. Маркес невероятно точно и выразительно передает реалии жизни, со всеми ее нелицеприятными деталями, и в то же время добавляет в повествование что-то нереально, даже фантастичное.
Это самая необычная история любви которую я встречала. О разной любви, которая сопровождает нас всю жизнь. Любовь юности, пылкая и нетерпеливая, зрелая любовь в браке, которая больше похожа на слаженный танец, который можно отточить до совершенства, и о той бессмертной любви, которая переживает все остальное, и растворяет в себе все что было до и будет после нее.
Я под впечатлением, даже не хочется пока ничего нового начинать...
In een mum van tijd was het oude relaishuis gesloopt en op deze foto is men bezig met de laatste loodjes van het slopen van het relaishuis.
In no time the old relayroom was knocked down. In this picture one was busy with the demolishing the last remains from the relayroom.

Lola is a promoter at the Huawei stand in the Mall of Emirates.
Lola and my stranger #20 (Erika) were working for the same company. After taking Erika's photo, I just had to ask for Lola's as well. Loved that red curly hair. Even with all the different kinds of people living in Dubai, I had not been able to photograph a red head before. I actually did see a beautiful lady with red hair about a month ago but did not have the guts to go up to her at the time :|

Warum zeige ich dieses Bild mit einem Tag Verspätung?
Weil ich doof bin und es gestern vergessen habe....
Ich trug meinen roten Trachtenrock mit der hübschen weißen Rüschenbluse, helle Strümpfe und weiße Pumps.
Es war ein wenig kühl an diesem Morgen, daher war die rote Strickjacke eine gute Idee.
Und um die Sache rund zu machen, der Unterrock...
Ich fand mich damals hübsch, und auch heute noch gefallen mir die Bilder richtig gut.

Well, i´d wear my red countrystyle skirt, my white ruffled blouse, some tan hose and white heels.
It was a little bit chilly this morning, so i thought my red cardie would be a good idea.
For me my slip is the icing on the cake...
I thought i look nice these days, and still like the pictures...

ain't been sober since maybe october of last year.
The Type 21 is amphibious with its waterjets in the rear, although it is not nearly as fast in the water as it is on road.
So I am in Ashbourne, County Meath, with a fellow photographer, and we call in to the recently opened "Ashbourne Photography Centre", where I met my new stranger.
Michael has a fantastic set-up in the new centre. It includes , individual CPU's for photography students, twin enlarger darkroom facility for film development and B&W traditional fine art printing, and a full professional studio set-up.
Michael is standing in front of some of his images, which were part of his Bachelor of Arts Honors Degree in Photographic Studies. Michael's project was called, "Fragments" , a 12 month long research into the aftermath of road fatalities here in Ireland.

Gosaikund is located in the Langtang region of Nepal. Langtang area is a popular place to visit among trekkers and pilgrims. (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gosaikunda)
The Langtang area is supposed to have 108 holy lakes, of which 85 have been identified. For Hindus Gosaikund is the holiest of these lakes.
According to the Puranas, during Samundra manthan 13 items were released before Dhanvantri emerged with the pot of Amrit. (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samudra_manthan)
One of the items that came out was a poison called Halahala. Since, there was no place to safely dispose it off, Shiva agreed to hold it in his throat. But the poison was so potent that it turned his neck blue, hence, the name Neelkanth, and started burning his throat. Since there was no water nearby, Shiva threw his Trishul on ground and the place where the Trishul struck three water fountains spurted out. These became the three lakes: Saraswatikund, Bhairavkund and Gosaikund. After drinking water from Gosaikund Shiva disappeared in the kund.
The poison imparted its blue color to the water of Gosaikund and even today the area around the lake is barren.
Early (2nd series, pre-1962) GAZ-21 that might actually have the trademark hood deer figurine from the factory - later 3rd series had it removed because of safety reasons, but all owners were reinstalling it themselves.

I know AGAIN I didn't post the pictures when I said I would but life keeps on getting in he way :/
i'm really going to try my best and have a photo everyday, because well it's a 365 day project.
i'm not sure if theres official rules for this, but i'm just making up my own as I go along.

I met Steve the other day while taking a drive through the National Elk Refuge. He was standing next to his big truck on the side of the road and the scene was just iconic. I pulled over and gave him my 100 strangers project rap, he took a few moments to think about it and agreed. I intended to use a posed waist up portrait for the project but honestly when looking through all the images I felt that this one captured his character the most.
Steve grew up in Wyoming and owns a ranch near Pinedale which is 90+ miles east of Jackson. He's a big guy and towered over me, I enjoyed talking with him and he was generous with his time.
