The set picked up its booked departure time of 12-01 Perth to KX.
I was the driver as far as Edinburgh.
The HML line has been closed for a few days at Easter Dalguise ( roughly a few miles north of Dunkeld) due to flooding. I was turned back to Edinburgh at Perth the previous evening with the same set.
Perth station remains a grand old station. Very dated full of character but lacking investment to its upkeep that it really needs.
It has been the setting for a few movies over the years. The last being the “ The Railway Man”. I saw the actual filming as I called at Perth with 1E13 07-55 INV-KX some years ago now.
