The Castro Marim railway station, currently a halt, is actually located in the village of São Bartolomeu do Sul, 5.5 km (3.4 mi) from the town of Castro Marim.
It is located at PK 389+911 on the Algarve line (coordinates 37°11′48.31″N; 7°29′2.15″W).
Today the Algarve line is fully electrified, but at the time of publication of this photo, it is still the 0450 series diesel railcars that provide commercial passenger service.

Historyczne wydobycie kredy rozpoczęto tutaj około 1926 roku pod kątem przemysłu cementowego dla potrzeb cementowni Firley w Rejowcu, lecz dopiero w 1960 roku kopalnia kredy rozpoczęła eksploatację dla potrzeb Cementowi Chełm.
Aktualnie powierzchnia obszaru górniczego wynosi około 224 h. Produkcja odbywa się tu w systemie ciągłym, zmianowym, siedem dni w tygodniu.

Dryas iulia (often incorrectly spelled julia), commonly called the Julia Butterfly, Julia Heliconian, The Flame, or Flambeau, is a species of brush-footed butterfly. The sole representative of its genus Dryas, it is native from Brazil to southern Texas and Florida, and in summer can sometimes be found as far north as eastern Nebraska. Over 15 subspecies have been described.
Its wingspan ranges from 82 to 92 mm, and it is colored orange (brighter in male specimens) with black markings; this species is somewhat unpalatable to birds and belongs to the "orange" Batesian Mimicry mimic complex.
This butterfly is a fast flier and frequents clearings, paths, and margins of forests and woodlands. It feeds on the nectar of flowers, such as lantanas (Lantana) and Shepherd's-needle (Scandix pecten-veneris), and the tears of caiman, the eye of which the butterfly irritates to produce tears. Its caterpillar feeds on leaves of passion vines including Passiflora affinis and Yellow Passionflower (P. lutea) in Texas. – Wikipedia

Easter Sunday is a day for steam trains in Sydney with amazing steam train journeys all across the city.
This is the 3526 historic steam engine. Built in 1917, 3526’s original number was 1314.

So this morning (Easter Sunday) I had to go to work out at Marsden Park. Despite it being Easter Sunday this is a normal work day for most people in Sydney.
Anyway, after work I belted over, via the M7 and M2, to the T9 Northern Railway Line where I had to secure a space somewhere to photograph the steam trains!! I was able to photograph the trains at both Cheltenham and Rhodes.

I cancelled going to the Photography Show. I had bought the tickets and hotels but just didn't fancy it, especially as at the moment I have zero interest in picking up a camera nevermind looking at new ones to waste money on ! (I'm still suffering from paying 6k+ for a Leica!).
So, instead I went up to the Wolds, a place that I love more and more. Turns out as well that my ancestors come from the village of Warter (famous for a past resident, David Hockney).
Managed to capture this shot in Thixendale, wanted this for ages so though I normally can't be arsed picking up a camera I did make and effort up the very steep hill to capture this. Thankfully the sun didn't disappoint.
I am very glad I didn't waste time going to the Photography Show!
